I was looking to get some advice on how to structure my time during the new AUD exam. I take it in a couple weeks and it will be my first exam. For those who have taken it this quarter, whats your advice as far as how much time to leave for muliple choice versus Sims? Any other advice is appreciated!

I went in with a mindset of 45-45-45-45-60, thinking if I could get ahead during MCQ without sacrificing quality of answer/thought process that I would.

My final timing was such as…

25-35-30-45-45. I do not believe I rushed at all, and left with just under an hour remaining. Of course you have no idea what kind of SIM is coming so you're tempted to wrap up where you are as soon as you can, but I ended up leaving time on the clock. I re-reviewed my last testlet 2-3 times because I had plenty of time to do so. There's danger in doing that, though, in that you start second guessing yourself and changing answers that were probably correct to start.

Who knows what questions you'll have thrown at you but that's just an example of how it panned out for me.

What ageis0101 describes is basically the exact same as what my experience was last week taking AUD. I finished with an hour left. I've learned not to go back and change answers on the MCQs because it usually causes me to second guess myself and change from right to wrong answer. The SIMs didn't seem anything close in difficulty to the REG sims I got last Quarter. Makes me worry that I may have failed since AUD is supposed to have the most difficult SIMs now, testing “higher cognitive skills.” :/

    CMA - 430
    BEC - 83
    FAR - ?
    AUD -
    REG -
