I am contemplating which exam I should retake next…I am waiting for my REG score (took it yesterday) and I have passed BEC. I received my AUD score on Friday and got a 68. I took FAR at the end of July and got a 67. My Becker access runs out at the end of this month. Which section do you all suggest I attempt next? REG Sims were brutal, so my gut feeling is a retake for it, but I guess I won’t know until score release. Thanks to all in advance!

might be best to sit for REG again while it's still fresh… SIMS were brutal (as expected), how was your MCQ experience?

@SkiBum1990 I didn't think the MCQ were too bad. The first 2 testlets weren't awful and the third was harder, but not terrible. How about you?

@kiwi9990 I personally would wait for your REG score and retake REG while it is “fresh.” If you can knock out REG this year and avoid the 2017 changes good for you!

I am trying to decide on which section to take next also. After passing FAR in July this year, I sat for BEC Sept 8th and i am waiting on the score to move forward. BEC had some overlap of material from both FAR and AUD. Since I am waiting on my score im studying the overlap material for Audit next. Although I was thinking about taking REG next instead to avoid 2017 changes. Any thoughts/advice anyone?

I took AUD,BEC,FAR last fall thinking I could cram it into 6 months and it was a disaster for me. FAR took a ton of study time this year (3 months for me) so I am glad that's not included in my rolling 18 months.

I would retake FAR next. AUD is one of Becker's weakpoints IMHO, so no reason to try to squeeze AUD is with Becker, better to re-test for it with whatever materials you get next (assuming you don't want to fork over the huge amounts of money to repurchase Becker). There's time to retake REG and FAR both in the next window (you've got 3 months till the window is over – that's 6-7 weeks each), so it's not an “either/or” between REG and FAR…and no reason to waste time waiting on scores! 🙂

Thanks so much, everyone! I am thinking about purchasing the $47 Ninja MCQ Supplement for FAR, to use with Becker and then for a supplement to the Wiley books I have, when my Becker is no more. Do you think it would be a good idea?

Yes! I passed FAR on my 3rd try once I added the Ninja MCQ. I re-read the sections I scored “weaker” in and then drilled questions one section at a time, until I scored consistently in the 80s. Once I was scoring well enough, I started doing random sets of questions.
