See if that community college gives credit for CLEP tests. You can probably crank out a couple of those and have them added to your transcript there.

I took a Quickbooks course for 2 credits and then a working education credit for 4 units at Palomar College in Northern San Diego County. The QB class was online and of course the other one was based on working for a company (my employer at the time).

vua – i wasnt able to get clep units so heads up on that when you look into it. they said I needed to be pursuing a degree in order for a school to enroll me to accept CLEP. I was not enrolling in a maters program or anything so i decided to get my units from foothill as well, some very easy online accounting classes there. I took the QB and excel classes, as well as fraud examination, accounting for small business, and payroll. also took ethics there.

@TommytheCat – what if I'm already currently enrolled in Foothill? Like i just finished my ethics course. Still wouldn't take CLEP?

Just do CLEP. I was in the same boat years ago. My study aids were the complete idiot's guide to american lit and to english lit. Cheapest college credits around!

    FAR - 75
    AUD - 72; 87
    REG - 64; 74; 84
    BEC - 88

    Done!!

Everyone probably has a different test that's “easiest” based on what they already know. The hardest one I took was Humanities because I knew very little about art history and there was a lot of material. On the other hand, that one test was worth 9 quarter credits. They're all easy compared to the CPA exam; just get a prep book and cram for a week or two.

Every school has it's own rules for what CLEP tests they give credit for (if any), how many credits they'll give for a test, how high you have to score to earn credit, so research that in advance. I sent my scores to the community college had gone to and they added them to my transcript. I didn't send them to the state university where I got my bachelors because they gave less credits and required higher scores for the same tests.
