    Don’t Get Locked Out!

NTSs and Payments Not Available During Migration Period

As part of our effort to continually improve the systems surrounding the candidate experience with the Uniform CPA Examination, we are pleased to announce the launch of the next version of the Gateway and National Candidate Database on Monday, March 5, 2018. These new systems will greatly improve your overall experience with additional user-friendly functionality and enhanced security measures to protect your personal data.

To systematically migrate and successfully deploy the new system, there will be a window of time the system will be unavailable to candidates. During this period, the system will not be able to print or reprint Notices to Schedule (NTS) or accept any payments. Therefore, all NTSs and payments must be completed in the current Gateway system prior to 10:00 pm CST on Friday, February 16, 2018. The new Gateway system will be available on March 5, 2018, at 12:00 am CST. Consequently, no NTSs will be issued or reprinted and no payments can be received beginning February 17, 2018 through March 4, 2018.
    Important Note:

Scheduling with Prometric and candidate testing will not be affected by this conversion process.

It wouldn't matter when the migration occurred, it would just affect a different group of candidates. The AICPA's website shows the last wave of scores would be sent on March 23rd, so it would probably take about 72 hours to process all the scores that come in for that wave which means all the scores would be by the 27th (to be generous.) If the migration started then, that would mean all the candidates that passed the exam would have to wait an additional month before their scores are sent to their state board of accountancy. I don't think there is ever the “perfect” time that would ever, never affect a group of candidates… Don't use those roadblocks as an excuse for failure, study hard, rock out the exams, and then put this all behind you.

These aren't excuses for failure lol. There will be no failure. It's more of just complaining about the additional hassle that NASBA puts you through.

Dumb question, but couldn't there be a class action lawsuit to get them to honor the Feb release date? I'm looking through all the legal stuff we agree to when we apply and sit and see if anything is waived.
