    Don’t Get Locked Out!

NTSs and Payments Not Available During Migration Period

As part of our effort to continually improve the systems surrounding the candidate experience with the Uniform CPA Examination, we are pleased to announce the launch of the next version of the Gateway and National Candidate Database on Monday, March 5, 2018. These new systems will greatly improve your overall experience with additional user-friendly functionality and enhanced security measures to protect your personal data.

To systematically migrate and successfully deploy the new system, there will be a window of time the system will be unavailable to candidates. During this period, the system will not be able to print or reprint Notices to Schedule (NTS) or accept any payments. Therefore, all NTSs and payments must be completed in the current Gateway system prior to 10:00 pm CST on Friday, February 16, 2018. The new Gateway system will be available on March 5, 2018, at 12:00 am CST. Consequently, no NTSs will be issued or reprinted and no payments can be received beginning February 17, 2018 through March 4, 2018.
    Important Note:

Scheduling with Prometric and candidate testing will not be affected by this conversion process.

CPA Central and the State Boards will still be able to accept new applications during the National Candidate Database migration. The National Candidate Database will not be able to process the actual NTS during that time.

You will not be able to make payments with a payment coupon, pay the Guam surcharge, or payments to test internationally during the NCD migration.

You will not be able to reprint your Notice to Schedule from the CPA Central “Reprint NTS” tool during the NCD migration. If you are turned away from your exam because you did not have your NTS you would be required to re-register for a new NTS in order to reschedule. So make sure to keep the email you receive that contains your NTS and print multiple copies ahead of time.

Scores that would be released during the February 23rd release date will be released at the next release date which is March 8th.

Well I guess we better start rolling our pennies if we want an nts by the migration date. So much for dragging my feet.

<<Scores that would be released during the February 23rd release date will be released at the next release date which is March 8th.>>

I don't see that in the release, but I am now seeing on the one website with release dates. I honestly wasn't planning on checking my one score until I took my second test at the end of the window (I generally don't) but I guess I can't anyway. But what does one system have to do with the other?

I am sure we are all tired of these score release delays. I've been at this over a year and only Q1 last year was normal. It really messes with your head, on top of how hard/taxing these exams are. I just hope I get some good news from Q1.

Does anyone have any idea what this means for people whom applied in early January? My transcripts just got there recently and I am now under the EVALUATION status on my application. Does this mean that if i don't get approved before Feb 17? I won't be able to take the exam this window. Confused. Will be sad if this is the case.

Wait, there is a score release delay??? I don't see it anywhere in that notice, just NTS and payments.

Jeff-would you be able to verify that they are now delaying the March 23rd score release as well?

The NCD/GW Migration will not prevent education from being evaluated, however if you are finalized anytime between Feb 16th and March 5th, you would not receive an NTS until after March 5th when NCD/GW is live and it can start releasing NTS's, even then it will take time to release all the NTS's that have been waiting to be released since Feb 16th.

We're not concerned with that, we're concerned with your statement telling us that the feb 23 score release will be pushed back…………?

Do we really need anything else to make us sweat? I guess we would need to go to the site and look for ourselves. I don't think anyone is bold enough to get everyone ruffled by posting inaccurate information as important as nts and score release is.

The NTS info is true, the score release info appears to be false.

No it's true. We will not get our scores on February 23rd. I was depending on it too. Personally I think it's ridiculous that they couldn't wait until after March 10th for this. It doesn't make sense that our scores will be delayed.

So there is no longer a score release on the 23?

alabe – that's correct. NASBA is releasing scores on March 8th for both the group originally on February 23rd as well as for the original group for March 8th. (So now the 3/8 score release is for test dates between 1/21 and 2/28).

Unbelievable. Who's bright idea was it to do this in the middle of a testing period? There's obviously a bigger issue here as to the reasoning for this.
