    Hi guys,
I paid to take BEC in my current NTS. Unfortunately my grandmother passed away on the 18th and most of last week was spent preparing for the funeral. I would have to be able to sit for the exam by July 15th and there is no way as I’ve barely started the BEC material. Do you think they will allow me to apply that money for the new NTS I applied for?

I had a similar situation in February when my grandfather passed away. I was told no rescheduling because I waited too long to inform them.. because that's something I apparently was supposed to know. By the grace of God I ended up passing REG anyways. But in the past I did reschedule an exam when I had over 2 month's notice. So who really knows – it's worth a try.

My experience with NASBA/State Boards really has not been good at all. I've been impacted by score release delays since I started this journey and moved across the country on fairly short notice because my husband is in the military (again something I was told I should have planned for… because I apparently am supposed to know what the military is planning as a lowly civilian). I've just come to the conclusion that they all expect us not to have jobs or lives outside of this exam and in my experience are not flexible whatsoever.

Do you mean that's when your NTS expires or that's when your Prometric session is scheduled? You can reschedule your Prometric session as long as it's within the NTS window.

If it's not within the window – you'll most likely have to pay again. It's around $30 to reschedule your Prometric session (totally worth it!)

Remember that BEC is the least amount of material so maybe give it your best shot – if you have to pay again anyway?

I'm so sorry for your loss, by the way.

My NTS expires and I've already sent payment to get a new one issued. I paid for all 4 exams when my last NTS was issued. Will I have to pay for the exam again under my new NTS as I didnt take it in my last NTS window? I'm wondering if I will have to pay NASBA 200 again to sit? or its just a rescheduling fee?

If it's expiring then you pay again.
The rescheduling fee is only for Prometric.

The CPA candidate bulletin has a lot of useful information.

It doesn't matter if you sat or didn't – you have to pay the $300 or whatever it is again.

    🙁

@Kiran89, unfortunately, I think you will have to pay the $200 again. If your NTS expires, they don't transfer the cost to a new NTS (I don't think). Sorry for your loss.

Thanks guys! I kind of figured I would have to but I thought I'd ask.
