I’m starting BEC, and these Ninja MCQ’s are so hard!? Anyone else feel the same way? I’m also feeling like they aren’t following principles taught in the ninja notes I bought as well.

Question is, how did you guys approach BEC when they were a fresh start!?

Ps. I’ve taken it before with becker which now expired, but I barely studied due to time constraints and I don’t remember Becker’s MCQ’s being this hard!

Yup! I think I even created a post about it. I breezed through BEC on CPAExcel and then when I started Ninja it absolutely whooped me. I was getting in the 60s at first, it was awful. I think of all the sections, the Ninja MCQs for BEC were the hardest. There was a lot of stuff on there not covered by CPAExcel. But hey..it got me the pass so I can't complain.

Just keep doing MCQs until you want to puke…then do some more. Get that trending score as close to 85 as possible. You got this!

I'm on Reg and I'm dying over here 🙁 Every chapter is scrambled from my other review program and it seems like every question is a trick question!

    AUD - 1st - 60 (12/12), 61 (2/13), 61 (8/13), 78! (11/15)
    REG - 55 (2/16) 69 (5/16) Retake(8/16)
    BEC - 71(5/16) Retake (9/16)
    FAR - (8/16)

So far, this is the most boring and hardest section I have ever done. I just cannot stay fully awake studying for this section. This is my 2nd retake, but this is the first time that I really have put in the time to study. The first time, I used Becker, and I have been using NINJA since my 1st retake. I just pray to God that he gives me the strength to keep going and pass and move on to REG. I want this to be over this year.

    FAR: 78 (5x)
    AUD: 80 (3x)
    BEC: 9/07/2016
    REG: 12/06/2016

BEC KILLED ME– I honestly at one point told my husband to make sure to write on my grave stone when I keeled over dead “Killed by BEC”… I'm waiting on my score now but not feeling hopeful and seriously have been having nightmares about having to sit for it again….keep hammering the MCQ's– I was like you and kept thinking huh these questions don't match Ninja notes OR my Roger notes but what ended up helping me tremendously was slowing down and literally writing everything down- even the formulas I “knew stone cold”- then after doing a set of thirty I would compare the answers that I wrote down with the Ninja notes- it really helped make a few things click for me…

Feeling your pain hang in there though you got this– also USE the BEC study group- everyone was very helpful!!

and they ask me why I drink...

FAR- 61-next time I'll ask for lube instead of a calculator
REG-75- Never been so happy to see such a low grade
    BEC- 8/11
    AUD- 9/2

Nice! Thank you guys so much for the help!

So @mckan514w and @bear-bear, you guys think the MCQ's in NINJA are similar to the test and if I study those I'll be able pull through!?

For BEC, I actually found the Ninja MCQ's to be easier than Becker, much easier in fact. Becker's questions were almost entirely comprised of calculations.

For REG, Ninja might be a little harder, but i can't really tell. I'm doing 95% of my work in Becker and it would be silly to change since my test is in a week. But, I do tend to score a bit higher in Becker than I do in Ninja.

    FAR 04/11/2016 - 84
    AUD 05/12/2016 - 79
    BEC 07/06/2016 - 81
    REG 08/29/2016

I just took REG and find out the score tonight! I used becker for REG but it's expired now. So if I don't pass I plan to use Ninja MCQ's and Notes.

    @bhunt815
do you think the REG Ninja MCQ's are similar to the actual test?

@AMGcpa, I'm not sure. I actually think Becker does a better job mimicking the actual exam questions, but that may just be because Becker looks more like the exam. Ninja and Becker have so many of the same questions I just don't think there's a ton of difference. I honestly think we tend to trend better on the program we use the most.

    FAR 04/11/2016 - 84
    AUD 05/12/2016 - 79
    BEC 07/06/2016 - 81
    REG 08/29/2016

@AMGcpa, Is it clicking yet? I'm going through the Ninja gauntlet for BEC and I feel like I don't know anything!

    AUD - 1st - 60 (12/12), 61 (2/13), 61 (8/13), 78! (11/15)
    REG - 55 (2/16) 69 (5/16) Retake(8/16)
    BEC - 71(5/16) Retake (9/16)
    FAR - (8/16)

Yeah… I wonder what the exact % of MCQ overlap is for Becker and NINJA..Just got NINJA and did some short sample groups of questions from the different tax subjects to just get a feel for the NINJA material and I noticed a bunch of the same…ugh

@mtaylo24 haha not really clicking. I mean some of it is. Just trying to keep chugging! I hope I just don't get a lot of computational problems!
