I am unsure whether or not someone can answer this question but I'll still give it a shot. Are there going to be SIMS where we have to list J/E. I am having a hard time understanding all the JE. I mean I understand the computations etc but the mass amount of info is just hard to remember so many accounts/titles.

@Spartans92 You most likely will have at least one sim that requires JE's. I ended up with 2, but have a feeling one of them was pretest. You'll probably have a drop down window to choose from so that will help you figure out which one to choose. I had a pretty decent grasp of JE's, but I think i knew just enough to skate by. They really do help in answering a lot of mcq's like bonds, leases, S/E, and asset sales. The answer will basically fall in your lap once you set up the JE's. Roger did a great job showing that and it made me mad I couldn't do it as easy as he could lol.

Interestingly I thought I would need JE for bonds, treasury stock, pensions or consolidations but I did not get a single Sim that required JE… Go figure.

I would say know as much as you can because you never know what can show up.

Does anyone know if order matters for the FAR SIMS. I got one on becker where I have to make an income statement I got the account and everything right but wrong order (losses before gains, and solution had the opposite). If I did this on actual exam will i get points?

@Claudia408, Yes! I know, fortunately my sims weren't too bad.

@spartants92, I used Gleim for sims and they give points based on each line and total (so once the account, total and sign(-/+) for each line are all correct you will receive credit), then by the final total for the problem. I'm not sure if that how becker treats it.
