Move on to REG or wait?

I just took AUD on 8/30. I have REG up next on my list. Should I wait until score release on 9/9 before moving on or should I dive right into REG? Or maybe I should just take a break? Thoughts?

    Was AUD your first section?

I passed BEC in May. I paid for and scheduled FAR (bombed that exam yesterday) and REG for October.
For me, I wish I would have scheduled FAR before I even got my BEC score. After I waited for my BEC score and then goofed off it was incredibly difficult for me to get back into study mode. I would have been better off just pushing straight through. Instead I wasted two weeks, took two weeks off mid-study…it was all a mess.
This time around I'm taking off three days before hitting the books again.

I think if you're motivated and can stay focused (unlike me) you could swing a break but I now know I can't…

I will always encourage anyone to move to the next section, even though it has never worked for me (yet!). I say this because learning the material the first time is most struggleville part of the process. It took me 3 months to get comfy w/ Reg (which I bombed first go-round), 2 1/2 for BEC (got a 71), 2 for FAR (still wasn't comfy when I sat and bombed). Retakes only take 2-3 weeks to get re-comfy (improved my Reg score 14 pts, but still didn't pass). Everyone is different though…

    AUD - 1st - 60 (12/12), 61 (2/13), 61 (8/13), 78! (11/15)
    REG - 55 (2/16) 69 (5/16) Retake(8/16)
    BEC - 71(5/16) Retake (9/16)
    FAR - (8/16)

Move on, I always assumed I passed until told otherwise.

First go at the CPA! Only using Becker
    Reg / Nov 2015 - 87
    Far / Apr 2016 - 79
    Bec / May 2016 - 80
    Aud / Aug 2016

I 100% agree with moving on and studying for the next section.

At the same time, I also agree with a break after taking an exam. I'd usually at least take a break through the next weekend, usually with the goal of a week-long break (tested on Wednesdays), but usually ended up studying before the whole week was over.

If you're feeling like you need a break, then go ahead with a break, just set a specific end date for the break, and then move on to REG soon as you hit that end date. If you want a 10-day break, then that'd happen to coincide with score release. That's just 1 weekend and a work week; scores come out on Friday, so you'd be ready to hit the books Saturday for whichever test you end up needing to study. However, if you don't feel the need to take a 10-day break, and maybe just want to take a break – say – through Saturday, and start studying this Sunday so that you've got Sunday and Monday both to study before you start back to work, then go for it. Moving on is generally a good idea. Take whatever break you need and then move on, don't wait on scores, unless the break you want and the date of score release happen to match up perfectly.

@Bear-Bear I already have FAR under my belt and I had to rush to take BEC because my NTS was running out and I got a 74. I planned on just saving BEC for the end because I wanted to get AUD and REG out of the way first. AUD was the exam I was most worried about passing after FAR because my audit course wasn't great at all and I didn't know most of the audit material.

Okay I think I may take at least the weekend as a break from studying. How many weeks should I plan to study? I actually mostly have to plan taking the exam around open times at Prometric sites. The city I will be living and working in starting October doesn't have any Saturday exam dates available this window! I may have to drive a little over an hour to a different site. I was thinking either 10/22, 10/29, or 11/5. I wanted to retake BEC at some point at the end of the window as long as I passed AUD because of the major changes for BEC.
