Hi everyone, I know some times it helps to read success stories so here is mine!
I went back to night school and got the 30 hours needed to sit for the exam(I did 2.5 years of night classes). I first sat for AUD in May of 2018, got married in June, bought a house in Sept. I took 6 months to study for FAR(way to long) and failed with a 72. For me, this was devastating. I had never truly failed at anything. I sat for a retake 7 weeks later and bombed with a 63. I then regrouped and began studying for BEC. One month out from my BEC exam, I was in a major car accident. I broke my left arm and two fingers on my right hand(the hand I write with). I had to do 12 weeks of physical therapy, work full time and study. I also taught myself how to write in my finger splints. I did move my test back and passed with a 76! I also received a credit extension from my board for my AUD credit because time was running out. So I have to pass REG & FAR in the same testing window! I pass FAR with and 82 and I miss REG with a 74. I missed being done by 1 point after all of that and lost my AUD credit. Again, devastation doesn’t even begin to describe it. So I am rescheduled now for REG & AUD then the COVID-19 pandemic hit and my tests were canceled and I had to reschedule months later. I finally pass REG in August of 2020. I am schedule for AUD for November of 2020. I make a 72! I am six weeks away from losing my BEC credit now. I studied like I have never studied before! I took my AUD test in 12/30/2020 and my BEC credit expired on 12/31/2020. I passed AUD with an 82! I am done. After the accident, I seriously considered I may not be able to do this but I am so happy I finished. To all of you who pass these exams with kids at home, you guys are the real heroes. Thank you to this forum for all the support and I hope this helps someone keep going! In total this was a 5.5 year process for me. It was worth it!
My test scores:
AUD- 77*, 73, 82
FAR- 72, 63, 81
REG- 71, 74, 82
BEC- 76
