Hi, I watched some videos on Reg by Miles CPA Review and I really liked it. the instructor explains the materials in details and I didnt get lost while watching. I contacted them and checked their website. I can order the textbooks, online test bank, and their online videos. however the online access for just 12 months. The instructor gives live lectures in India and he seems popular there. I didnt mind the accent because the information finally clicked with me! Have anyone tried this review course? I am about to order it, but need some feedback..thanks!!

Everyone wants to pass, but it's really good to check these places out before sending money…..Good post c1oth. Don't get me wrong, I don't know these people and have no reason to be unreasonable. I have noticed that there has been several new companies claiming to have the secret to success of passing. Yes, it pay to be careful and ask plenty of questions.

It will be a club where Accountants rides on Vespas and are running Ninja CPA review courses. At the same time the club is trying to keep other CPA Providers at bay like Becker, Roger, and Gleim from encroaching on our turf : )

@ Last Chance CPA, you did get yourself ready in preparing for the exam and it paid off for sure:) at some point i will look for free or affordable review resources and mcs/sims wherever i find them. i will get the main review course first.

@tncincy, i got your point, its just hard to find the best review material that fits your learning curve..i have been looking for quite sometime now

There are so many good review courses out there, any hint of shadiness should be enough to steer clear of this one.

I just saw a Miles video on AR and really like how thorough he was in his explanation. Does anyone have any of his videos saved? I think most have been removed now.

I have used the Demo videos for Miles CPA review and they have helped me tremendously! After watching his video on AR I finally understood the topic and how to answer MC questions. I started getting every MC question on AR right. I've been using those for every single part. I considered purchasing the material, but I only wanted the videos.

@Ramana , Yes , Viewing limit even after you buy the videos. I was a international candidate , I passed my cpa exam in 2017 and got license in Jan -2018.

@Ramana Thanks and Yes, I have gone on the website, but mostly Youtube and noticed there were two lectures per section out there. It looks like they are all still on Youtube. Even though all topics aren't there, it still helped me get a solid understanding of topics that were definitely tested. I personally liked Miles videos because he talked slow enough so that I didn't have to press pause and rewind a lot while taking hand notes, he uses some humor in his examples so its entertaining, but still he doesn't get off topic, and the book portion helps with repetition and a focus on the big picture.

I read somewhere else that you are not from an accounting background. Given that you were learning everything from scratch, which I am, what would you recommend to someone like me drawing from your experience of various courses? I am fixated on Gleim but I dont know if i am being overambitious. I read that doing the MCQ's really gives one a good handle on the SIMs which seems like the ultimate objective, but practicing a demoralizing TB can have a negative effect. I am not sure what
to do. I think videos can be a waste of time and learning how to solve problems cuts to the chase. But after reading pages of Gleim material, I might be ready to kill myself. LOL
