Just wondering everyones’ thoughts, although I’m sure that they will vary. During your review phase, do you take the quality over quantity approach to the MCQs? Or, do you just bang out MCQ questions, regardless of if you might get to a point of rote memorization? To me, I would think quality first.

I'm currently in NINJA MCQ review phase. Usually, I like to start working in SIMS into my routine during this time. I also do my MCQs, I just do as many as I can within an allotted time frame. I briefly read the answer explanations, but not as intensely as I did when I was working towards the review phase. Once I'm 2 weeks out, I rewrite all my notes. Then in the final week, it's random MCQs and going over the AL until test day.

So you go with quantity then? There isn't time to re-read chapters, in order to really go back properly, but I also hate the idea of memorizing.

It feels like a mixture of both quality and quantity. I'm not just mindlessly churning out questions. I learn through the problems. I found out that repetition helps me remember key info. Also, doing the SIMS gives me a different look at the same material, if that makes sense. Finally, rewriting the notes is probably the biggest tip in the last two weeks of review. After rewriting notes, I seem to just “know” random stuff. It's worked for me 2 out of 2 tests, so I'm sticking with it.
