Lots of time left on AUD

    Hello,

I just took my AUD test and had 55 minutes left. I knew that I was way ahead of my time goals but I still managed to go back and review every SIM and didn’t feel like I rushed through my multiple choice. On my other three parts I either ran out of time (barely) or had, at most, 10 minutes left on the timer. I feel like I did pretty good but having this much time left is freaking me out.

    Is this normal for audit?

That was my experience for AUD. I took the test pre-update, but yeah, I had at least an hour on the clock. I think for the MC with AUD it was so conceptual that it was easy to diagnose whether you know it or not and move on, so if you left feeling like you had a solid grasp of things then I think odds are good you did well. Hopefully congrats. 🙂

Thanks. That makes me feel a little better. FYI, the test change wasn't a big deal like I thought it would be. The 15 minute break makes up for the SIMs being separated (at least that's how I felt about AUD, took the others pre test change).

I took AUD last of the 4 exams and awaiting for the release next week. With FAR and REG I finished with little time. With AUD I left with 1.25 hours time left. I dunno, it is what it is.

I think its fairly normal, took my time on aud and finished 2 1/2 hours. Felt strange after taking far and rushing through to finish with 2 minutes left.

I took AUD in July (11 days until my results!) and finished with about 1.5 hours left on the clock, as others mentioned it was smooth sailing through the MCQs and the SIMs were not overly complex or time consuming. Given the changes, I would definitely put AUD as the easiest of the 4.

I took Audit today as well. I had a lot time left after MCQ (Like 3 hours or 2 hours and 50 min) but I used all my time on the Sims. They weren't bad I just took a little longer to finish them due to my excess time after MCQ. all and all not too bad. Definitely glad I studied for FAR before taking AUD

I agree, quite a few far type questions in aud.

So the common theory is that the cpa exam pass rates will stay consistent to prior periods. Most people have agreed audit was an “easier” exam compared to others so I wonder if it will be graded harder. As in less points assigned to each problem.

I absolutely hate AUD and used all of the time available. I am much stronger performing computations and following rules. Whereas AUD was really conceptual and I struggled. Praying for a pass on the 17th. Consider yourself lucky if u thought AUD was easy. It's the most failed exam for a reason!

Blue collar- looking at your scores we must be the opposite. Working on bec now and feel its much more difficult than aud.

    @Bizzle99

It's funny how candidates have different skills sets. I found BEC much easier than AUD, although NONE of the exams are easy. BEC was basically memorizing a bunch of formulas and was a review of almost everything I had covered in undergrad. I found the Economics section to be very easy because I did so well in my Econ classes. Whereas AUD was very conceptual and subjective and 75% of the material was new to me.

Keep grinding through BEC and you will pass. It has the highest pass rate, but is still very tough. All of these exams are very challenging – PERIOD.

    Goodluck.

@Bizzle99 Audit is one of those type of exam that you either gonna ace it or struggle to pass. Saying the exam is easy is really a understatement because it has the second highest fail rate compared to FAR. Questions are tricky and you can easily fall for the traps if you aren't careful.

Maybe it came out wrong, none are easy. But it seems alot of people finish aud quickly. That alone takes alot of the stress out.
Coming right after i took far, aud felt much better.
