SallyCPAParticipantIs anyone else extremely burned out going into their last exam? Taking audit soon and feel like I don’t have much more stamina…

jenpenParticipantBut you're almost done!! Dig deep and power through!
That seems to be a common feeling, though. I've been doing this for around 2.5 years and the only thing that is keeping me motivated is that I finally passed 2 of the exams so if I just keep focused for about 7 more weeks, there is a chance that I'll be done with the exam forever.
You can do it!
AUD - 56 - 68 - 61 - 9/8/16
REG - 75
FAR - 7/15/16
BEC - TBDWiley CPAexcel and NINJA 10 Point Combo

MattLorenzParticipantI don't know if I'm feeling burnt out, or just at a point where I don't know what else to do to prepare for my AUD exam tomorrow. I know that burnout is somewhat setting in, but it's more or less short-term because I've been up past midnight for about 3 weeks straight now making sure I am prepared for this exam. Started studying for REG the first week of April, took 1 week off between REG and FAR, and 2 days off between FAR and AUD, and I'll take tomorrow afternoon off but then Thursday I need to get right into BEC because I take that 12/6 and then hopefully I'm done! It'll all be worth it if I get two passing scores on AUD and BEC once December 19th rolls around!

jenpenParticipant@MattLorenz I'm in basically the same boat currently – except I take REG next week and then BEC 12/7. I'm just crossing everything and praying that I will be done this year.

AnonymousInactiveI am really, really burned out and on my last exam. I have my REG retake. Just really looking forward to this process being over. I cannot study for more than 2 hours at a time because I am so exhausted. But, still I continue to Grind and I CAN and WILL pass my last exam – REG!
Goodluck and know you are not alone!!!

studysledParticipantI'm right there with you.
Taking Audit 11-20. If I pass I'm done. Got a 73 in May.
Not sure if I'm feeling overconfident, or increased responsibilities at home and work are getting to me….but I haven't been able to do more than 100 or so MCQs a week for the past month.
Hoping the urgency of being under 30 days out gets me motivated.

samantha09ParticipantOn my last exam as well – AUD 🙁 Getting frustrated faster, can't study as long, etc.

AnonymousInactiveWe really need a Therapy Group – no lie!! Everyone just looks at me like I am crazy when I complain. Lol. Well, you have to be a little crazy/determined to pass all 4 of these Beasts! Or, exceptionally smart and able to recall information like a computer!
Goodluck everyone.
Studying + Grinding = Success (most of the time!)

SallyCPAParticipantHaha we really do need a therapy group!! Has anyone considered moving their test a week earlier because they feel like they gave themselves too much time to study?
October 25, 2017 at 10:35 am #1653413
AnonymousInactiveI feel this so hard right now. My exam is December 9th, and I've thought about taking it earlier, but with my work schedule and traveling for Thanksgiving I don't know if I can take it any earlier. I think I'd rather put in those extra hours now and have it pay off and be done forever than take it earlier and have to study again next quarter. I know too much studying is a genuine concern, but I at least keep telling myself I'm willing to suck it up for a few weeks and get it over with.

AnonymousInactiveYup, I had a similar post going on Monday-taking my (hopefully!) last one-FAR on November 17th. had a couple of days of where I felt like I was done, but buckled down, got through F10, made some flashcards, jumping into Ninja and review ASAP to give myself as much time to review as I can! We can and we will do this!

kdawg22ParticipantHere is a list of things to think about that should get you motivated:
1) one of your credits expiring for a part already passed
2) once you finish you will never have to utter the excuse “sorry i can't hang out I have to study”
3) once you finish you won't have to worry about laying in bed late at night wondering if you got enough studying done that day
4) once you finish you won't have to go through another sleepless night for another 12:45 AM score release
5) once you finish you won't have any more doubt in yourself because NOW you can call yourself a CPA.You guys are almost there. Put your head down and grind out this last par.

CoachEmUpParticipantYes! I'm with all of you. BEC is such a drag to study for since the topics on exam day seem like they'll be random. I purposefully left this topic for last since it is usually the “easiest” (most % pass), but I'm really really dying doing cost accounting today. As in I'll try to do anything to not do it.
2 weeks to go!

HoldMyBeerCPAParticipantTo add on to kdawg’s point, get this done so there’s no more having to wake up 2 hours earlier than normal for a lecture on leases or government accounting.
You’re too close to the finish line to allow for yourself to get complacent. Get this thing done so you can have a stress-free holiday season!
