I have one question about a rolling 18-month period for all four sections of the CPA exam. Last date of credit period is listed on 11/16/2017 in web-site of State of Accountancy Board in California. Could I have a exam on 11/16/2017 or must I sit on the test before 11/16/2017 ?

I emailed the board the same question and they confirmed it's possible on the same day, and if the result is later than that date, it will show expired but once the results are out and u passed the last section, it will be all updated

    Dear Lamis,

Hope you are doing well !!

My Tax is expiring on 10 Jan 2018 and I am still to appear for FAR. If I sit for FAR before 10 Jan 2018 and await the results for FAR till Feb'17, in this case will I be eligible to sit for FAR. Will my Tax credits expire.

Should I check with my Sate Board??

Please throw some light. You are awsome with your replies

    Thanks in advance

    Hi Hiten,

For California State, your tax will not expire if you sit for your FAR before the date that you mentioned provided that you pass all the four sections within 18 month period. However, it is recommended that you should check with your state board of accountancy.

@Hitz if you sat FAR before Jan 10, you will be good if you PASSED it even if the results come out in February.
It will just show expired on the system till the results are out and then it will be updated once you get a passing score
