I didn’t walk out of Prometric feeling confident. I found the MCQ’s to be “fair”, but the SIMs were IMPOSSIBLE. They were extremely detailed. I got frustrated at one point because I didn’t know how to tackle some of the sims. In fact, I entered in “zeros” for all the cells in one of my sims- probably a dumb move.

I was “Semi-confident” with the mcqs, but not at all for the sims. I don’t know what I could have done to prepare myself. What do u guys think? Do u know anyone that just entered zeros for a sim and still passed? I

Did we have the exact same test? I felt pretty confident about the mcq but sims were crazy. Zeroes might work. I did something similar for one of mine. Hopefully they curve it since it seems most people had trouble with sims this testing window

I just took it too, I honestly don't know how to feel. I was scoring really well on my practice exams but who knows.

sounds like you passed. seems most who feel that way do. I walked out knowing I bombed the sims. swore I wouldn't do better than a 50. Ended up in the nighties. that's the beauty of the unknown scoring.

I haven't taken REG yet, but I have had my soul crushed by exams that I ended up passing – so I believe there is definitely hope for you OP. From what I've read on this forum, REG appears to be the one that people really feel like they did terrible on and come out with great scores. Almost all of the reviews I've seen for the REG exam this quarter have been a pretty consistent “brutal”. In a sick way, I am looking forward to the nightmare that awaits me on the 29th – I wanna see what this chaos is all about. But I am hoping you passed!

Hopefully you did better than you think. Don't get too discouraged yet.

On that note, how would you recommend preparing for the sims?

@vanessa the best you can do, I feel, is practice to get used to the format of the sims. They could take the most obscure topic and give you a sim with 2 pages of info on it.

score release is June 8 if you tested after May 15 and on or before May 31. May 24, if before the 15th.
the June 8 day was changed from June 9 when they added additional testing dates in June

I had a similar experience as @Tcohle and @JSPERBER. Thankfully for my retake I really worked hard on my weaknesses and I'm glad I did because I walked out feeling more confident on how I did on the MCQs. Thank God for NINJA MCQs. I really felt they did a great job in preparing me and covered all the materially thoroughly, as always. If I were to be honest so did the combination of Roger MCQs and Gleim SIMS. However, the SIMS were brutal but at the same time I wasn't surprised because I've heard so many horror stories on here. My biggest beef with the AICPA and the SIMS are the way the questions are worded or their lack of instructions. Sometimes you are not really sure what they are looking for so even if you studied the topic thoroughly you may still get the SIM wrong because of crappy instructions…unfortunately the AL didn't help much either which was a little disappointing. 🙁

Well at this point it's the last exam that I had to study for …even though I think I may still do a couple of sessions of cumulative MCQs to keep the information fresh in case I find out on the 8th that I didn't pass. For now I'm going to enjoy my weekend. Wishing a pass for all of us!

I think it must've been this test window! Everyone I've seen had awful sims. I did 5k ninja mcqs and I felt okay with the mcqs on the test. Let's just hope we got enough for a 75
