I just took FAR for the first time today and I came out extremely conflicted. I am almost certain I nailed all the MCQ, each testlet was harder than the last. However, I think i’ll be lucky to even get above a 50% on the sims. I honestly only knew how to do 2 of them. Does anyone know if the blank spaces on SIMS count as partial credit if they are meant to be blank??

The best thing you can do now is worry about keeping the material fresh until the score release. You gave it your best shot and that's all that matters. Purchase Ninja Notes (if you haven't already) and rewrite them to keep everything in the back of your mind. If you did fail you can take it ASAP in the beginning of July. Just don't stress too much, the exam is suppose to be this difficult.

I wrote this in a prior forum, but I'll share again…. I took the FAR exam last month and felt the exact way you feel. I left 1 hour for SIMS, left 2 SIMS completely blank and felt horrible about the others. To top it off, I felt awful about the MCQ's. I flagged at least 10 MCQ's in the first two packets and probably 14 in the 3rd testlet. I didn't even have a chance to go back and review any of my flagged questions in the 3rd testlet because the clock was quickly ticking. I thought there was not even a mathematical chance that I could have passed….. I got an 82.

yes some sims can be impossible. unfortunately, I've encountered the same set of questions. They just seem odd, out of no where. all I can do is guess.

the more important thing is that you may panic after seeing these strange questions.

I snuck a 79 out of FAR, bombed one sim, literally just guessed with lots of zero's, felt like I got 50-60% of the other SIM right, got my research question completely wrong.

My MCQ packets felt like they were MED-MED-MED, never got harder, and the last one actually felt really EASY to me, no long wordy questions etc.

I felt like I was in the 70-73 range and lucked out with a 79!

Whew! REG and FAR down, now BEC then AUD.

@trele6 is filling in blanks with 0s the same as leaving them blank??? Because for blanks that I didn't know, i just left them blank assuming that was the same as giving it a 0…..
