Just wanted to share my BEC experience I had this past Saturday. Long story short, many tears were shed after walking out of the exam.

First testlet started off great – I felt really confident after submitting. Then second testlet was probably 75% IT questions that I had never seen before in my life. I focused much of my study time on nailing down COSO and all the math – Econ comes pretty naturally to me and then the IT I studied but I guess i didn’t study it hard enough? IDK. But then I got to the SIMS and felt like I was second guessing myself on everything – so only felt confident in 1 out of the 4 SIMS. So I finally move on to my WC’s with like 45 mins left and low and behold more topics i’m not super familiar with – UGH. I was able to write out full cohesive answers, but I pretty much BS’d all of them. I just hope it was enough to pass – I really studied and thought i knew that material inside and out and felt like i was hit with so many questions i had never seen before.

Anyone else take BEC this quarter and felt terrible after it like I did?

Omg. I never thought bec would be this difficult. I took mine yesterday and it was so difficult. I had lots of calculation questions in my 1st testlet. 2nd testlet more theory based and some calculation. I thought i knew variance analysis very well but this test proved that I knew nothing about it. I just guessed half of the Sims. Finished 2.5 of 3 writing cuz I put so much time on one sim. @Lisl i agree with u about the IT. i took all four tests before and this was THE most difficult exam for me. I am not even waiting for score release date.

Icandoit I had the same experience today, exactly the same situation with variance analysis… Good luck! You never know if you passed or not.

Sounds like you passed @Lisl. I wouldn’t worry too much. The IT questions are somewhat logical at least and you can usually deduce the right answer based on the name. If you wrote structured grammatically correct responses for your writing sections you likely got at least 75% of that correct even if the content of your answers were bs. I’d wager you passed if I had to put my money on it. Good luck.
