    Hey all,

Title pretty much says it all. Felt really good about it, but wound up getting a 73. Now I am trying to put together a plan for taking this again, and I wanted to ask a couple questions about what everyone thinks would be best.

1.) First, I basically just want to confirm that since I took this test on 5/5/16, that I am not allowed to take reg again in the April-May-June block.

2.) Any suggestions for additional study tools? I only used Becker on my previous attempts, and felt like I have run the MC questions into the ground. I am planning on purchasing an additional tool to supplement my studying.

3.) I have been a little out of the loop regarding changes to this exam. I am under the impression that starting on July 1 2016 there will be both DRS aspects to the exam, as well as changes to some of the tax numbers…can anyone confirm this? If so, what is the best way to prepare for these changes.

    Thanks in advance

    1. This is correct, if I were you I’d schedule for the 1st week of July and study hard for the month of June.

    2. I'd purchase either a cram course or another MCQ package. I hear Roger has a very good cram course and I can speak very highly of the Ninja Note/MCQ combo. Gleim MCQs are good too but too expensive if you ask me.

    3. Not sure about the DRS but I'm pretty sure 2016 tax information is tested after June 30.

Don't let this fail keep you down! Good luck going forward.

REG: 87 (Gleim, Ninja Notes, Ninja MCQs)

Just got back a passing score for REG. Even though I passed, my initial regret walking out was not doing more NINJA mcq. There are a lot of NINJA mcqs that were not covered in Becker. Some I took notes on and remembered and some did appear on my exam (and otherwise I would've gotten them wrong) and others I blew off thinking they were too obscure. I do not remember if the ones I blew off are what appeared on my exam or not, (I mainly focused on Becker and just used NINJA as a mini supplement doing maybe 50 questions a day to gain exposure) but I DO know that I felt like I was guessing on at like 5-7 questions per testlet, and that they were 100% NOT covered in Becker. I knew Becker like the back of my hand.

I got an 85ish on the Becker practice exams (highest I've ever gotten!)

I walked out of REG thinking I sat for a different version of the exam, not even knowing if my testlets were harder or not simply cause I just didnt know the material that was being asked. Somehow ended up with a 91.

    AUD: 98
    REG: 91
    BEC: 86
    FAR: 83

DONE DONE DONE and DONE all on the first try! It IS possible, just keep on studying!

Thanks, a little disheartening, especially since I would be done if I had passed it this time.

I am planning on re-taking it on July 8. This gives me 6 weeks to review everything that I have put to the side for the last couple weeks, as well as give me enough time to learn some of the areas I struggled with. I am also planning on purchasing the Ninja MC REG package.

Any suggestions for how to approach studying for these new DRS problems?

I really like Ninja MCQ. This last time I took BEC (May) I bought Roger CRAM and it didn't even raise my overall score 1 point. It's just videos with some MCQ in the book, I'm not sure if I would say it's worth the $200. I liked the videos and they did help me better understand some topics but overall I don't think it'll add much or at least it didn't for me. I would purchase Ninja MCQ and this attempted for BEC I'm going to add Ninja Notes.

First time I took REG I got a 74. Was really bummed because I knew I knew the material but just slipped up. I decided to move onto FAR and then spent about a little less than 3 weeks restudying REG by reviewing the text book and doing a bunch of multiple choice questions from Becker and also Ninja MCQ. I threw in a few Becker sims like the last week. (Chapters 1 – 4). I added on Ninja MCQ and I did notice that they asked some questions that weren't touched in Becker REG. Some ninja MCQs in my opinion were a little over the top because some topics never came out on both my first and 2nd exam. However plenty questions were similar to Becker and it had additional questions that I found useful..well for my retake I ended up getting a 75. Can't say for sure if that one point was all because of Ninja. Becker did a good enough job in my opinion. But its very possible that Ninja MCQ was behind me getting that one extra point so hey, it might be worth you getting supplement questions.
