My REG expired on 4/30 and i took AUD twice before that date…. Failed with a 69 the first time and received a score of 74 today. IDK what to do anymore. I did a lot of NINJA MCQ’s for AUD and also had NINJA AUDIO to listen to. idk idk now I feel like I have taken a zilllion steps back.

Lost Credit to REG and now need to pass AUD & REG….at this point it seems impossible. The thought of studying for REG & AUD Again 🙁

You have to keep pushing forward. This time do something different. Have you ever thought about watching lectures online from real colleges? Rutgers Accounting Web on YouTube has lots of lectures. Watch them all. It will be like taking your college classes all over, but may help you where you seem to be lacking.

    FAR - 08/30/15 - 90
    AUD - 11/12/15 - 92
    REG - 01/19/16 - 82
    BEC - 02/29/16 - 83

Passed all on 1st attempt using GLEIM (full program) and NINJA (MCQ only)!!!

So maddening. I really was ready to start my life again.
    Dang it.

    FAR 64,69,67,73,67,73,73,73, August 3

    BEC 72, 77

    The adventure continues...

@rminrx8 for AUD I read the text (Becker) cover to cover, took notes and did multiple choice questions. I did not listen to the lectures b/c they put me to sleep. IMO audit requires reading and digesting the material. I didn't do as well as I thought, but I did pass with an 81 (4/23/16) with a short study window. Shake this off for a day or two and then keep fighting! You can DO IT! Your CPA will be that much sweeter when it's all over. Good luck!

    AUD 4/23/16 81
    FAR 02/23/16 Failed, Retake TBD
    REG 6/10/16 70, TBD
    BEC TBD

Me too..Got a 74 on BEC today. I really felt like I was going to pass this time. I took it once before in November 2014 and got a 69. So very bummed. I just passed FAR in February and still have the other two, now three left. It's just such a defeating feeling to get a 74. So I know how you are feeling. It's rough today but tomorrow we just have to get back to it.

    FAR - 64,71,64,71,75!!!!
    REG - 64,63,65,68, July
    BEC - 69,74, July
    AUD - 53, June 8th

rminrx8, let me help you out here and you will thank me later. My advice is for Audit only. If you get Roger for Audit, and you take notes during his lectures, I guaranty that you will pass Audit on July 1st if you start studying next week. Roger is a Guru for audit, he kind of sucks for BEC, but believe me, with the knowledge u already have, the process of learning with his lectures will just run smoothly.

@Msbeekie thanks for the motivation!! yes you are right, just have to keep on fighting— I wouldn't mind taking AUD again since it is still fresh in my mind, well somewhat. But REG was the 1st test I passed and that was a long time ago. very long time ago.

@cpagal thanks for the advice, I will look into the rutgers acctng web and see how it goes. congrats on all your success btw!
you passed them all in the 1st try! what was your study plan like? how many hours a week? did you focus on SIMS more? (for the REG and AUD sections)

@cpa50 @snowchase yea i really felt good after leaving my AUD exam on 4/25… I honestly though i did well because I was able to understand the SIMS and i thought my MCQ's were not bad but I obviously was wrong! a lot of answers sound alike I guess

rminrx8, I went from a 72 to 84 thanks to Roger's lectures. Audit is one of the few exams where if you don't find the logic to it, you can memorize the whole book and still get 74 more than 3 times in a row. Becker sucks at teaching Audit, and they want you to rely on memory for the only exam in which great memory skills won't be enough. Roger will actually teach you why you do an Audit, you will be like, oh shit, this is what Becker meant when they mentioned this and the other. You should try ebay, or you can always get a discount if you show them proof that you did not pass with another review course. Good Luck, and dont give up cause this biatch is getting harder next year.

I had no experience with Audit. First time around just studied my Roger material and lectures. Failed with a 61. Purchased Roger Cram, Ninja notes, Ninja MCQ and Wiley test bank. Completely rewrote the Ninja notes once. Probably completed 3000 multiple choice. Just made a 93!! You can do this. You have have to understand the concepts in Auditing. Don't give up!

^How can people afford all this test prep damn. I had to download the Wiley CPA book and the Becker PDF questions.

Keep going. Roger has a payment plan now, but you may not need to spend the $$$. Are you trying to do this without test prep? I think at a minimum you need to have a test bank like NINJA with harder questions. I'll just repeat the advice that's legend on here: lots of MCQ's, understand why the wrong answers are wrong, notes (I just sit with a bunch of printer paper and make ratty flash cards of a sort about what I didn't understand that made me get the question wrong). The Ninja flashcards are only $7.50. Mneumonics can always be practiced througout the day. Do not take the test until the NINJA software is scoring you in the solid eighties.

I don't know about the books, you can really research everything via the internet, but I can't see how most people can pass without the computerized testing banks.

ninja book and mcq were great for audit. read a section, do the mcq's. they align perfectly. go section by section. do the nee questions for each then do missed questions till all correct through your first pass. as you progress do reviews of prior sections. audit is a process and everything is specific to what phase you are in. you have to understand the differences between review, attest and audit. you have to know that aicpa standards only apply to nonissuers and pcaob to issuers. ninja starts at the beginning and progresses through the phases so you build your understanding of what happens at each point in the process. read some of the actual standards to know how they are formatted and the differences between the numbered paragraphs and the A paragraphs. everything in audit is based on the standards so if you are not getting something read the standard – it will tell you exactly what to do. plus know adjusting entries because audit assumes you know far.
you can do this and you just have to push through the boring stuff like the reports.
    good luck!!

    FAR 7/25/15 76!
    AUD 10/30/15 93
    BEC 2/27/16 82
    REG 5/23/16 88!
Ninja Book and MCQ and the forum - all the way!!!
and a little thing i like to call, time and effort!
if you want things to change, you have to do something different

monikernc- I may try your method for my retake. I have the book from when I purchased AUD and REG during the BOGO sale last year, but didn't read it since I was using Roger. Maybe a different source will help fill in the gaps.

    FAR: 75 Roger & Ninja (notes/flashcards/audio/MCQ)
    AUD: 73, 81
    BEC: 71, retake 8/29
    REG:
