I am new to this stuff as I have never study it before. As I read the IT chapter I see that a database can be structured in different ways (hierarchical, relational ect) Now it seems from what I am reading that the relational ones has replaced the hierarchical ones. But as I read I see that there are data models that can be relational too. And basiclly these are the definitions:
Data modeling: identify and organize a database’s data in a logicall and physical way.
Data Structure: depending on the structure. If its relational then it has a logical structure of a group of related spreadsheets.
My question is, what is the difference and what are their practical use? I cant seem to picture them…
