I need to learn the material. Is Yaeger a good course? Would anyone recommend it, or should I go for something else? Do they teach me to pass the test just as much as learn the material?

Yes, Yaeger is a good course. I used both courses and the crams. However, nothing was new to me. I have undergraduate and graduate school in Accountancy so it was more like a review for me and Yaeger did a good with that. Buy one course first and see if it works for you.

My cousin who is an engineer and MBA used Becker and he was able to pass the CPA exam 5 years ago. He said Becker was good explaining the concept.

Please keep in mind that one thing is to understand the concept and another is to practice for the exams. In other words, you still need a test bank – NINJA is the best for me.

I've used some Yaeger, Becker, and NINJA. I liked Yaeger, but it took way more time than what I had. The videos just take soooo long to get through (like 40+ hours just in videos before you do any reading or MCQs or extra note-taking).

I hated the Becker format. Most people that use Becker like it well enough, but I hated it to the point that I passed one section with it and couldn't bring myself to study for any other sections of it and I let that credit lapse (years ago).

I love NINJA. For me its the perfect balance of knowing what I need to know for the exam and it has the detail I need if I really need to dig into something to get it. I've also found that life has caused me to need different approaches for each exam and the 10 point combo comes with multiple formats and I've bounced back and forth between all of them.
