During my CPA exams I used Becker, Roger, Wiley, Gleim and Ninja. Below are my thoughts
Becker, video lectures are ok. Consists of reading the book along with the instructors and they tell you what to highlight and what to fill in. I suppose those are the things you should focus on during your review. Their MCQs are probably the best, because if you are stuck while taking a quiz you could click a button and the software will open a window with the relevant text. The thing I didn't like about Becker is that it is not too simple to create custom quizzes. The lectures are also taught in a different order than the AICPA's order. Their study plan is the best out of all them, it's easy to customize, modify and the calendar keeps you on track.
Roger – Roger is fun to listen to in youtube videos and I guess some people learn well from him, but I could not focus. He spoke a bit too fast and I couldn't really follow. MCQs are good. I bought Roger audio, and the audio is just the final cram course in audio form. It's hard to follow along because Roger uses the board a lot and sometimes refers to things he writes and we can't see it.
Wiley – The video lectures are cool because they teach the material in little bite size chunks and they tell you how you'll see the material during the exam. They'll show you how to work the questions and everything is taught with the CPA exam in mind. Their test bank is very good as well. Wiley fails terribly in their UI though. the site constantly restarted my study plan and when I logged in, many times it would start me off in a practice quiz. If I quit the quiz it would affect my cumulative scores. I would finish a section one day, then the next day it would say that I didn't do that section and that it was still due. Also I bought a 1 year license in October 2017 and I got discouraged for a bit and didn't log in for a couple months, when I logged back in in January I found out my account had been canceled. I had to contact them to reinstate my account.
Gleim – I only bought the test bank for FAR. The test bank questions were very difficult and after doing about 150 of them, I quit using Gleim. It was too discouraging for me to get every question wrong. Gleim will not let you reset your test bank yourself, you have to contact them to reset the questions. I don't remember exactly, but I think they only allow you to take a couple practice tests.
Ninja – I used Ninja MQS and Ninja Audio. For me Ninja MCQs were the easiest to navigate through and to study exactly what I needed. The questions were easy to resent and the stats are cool to look at. I don't know if Ninja Audio worked, but I listened to all of them at least 2 per section. I tried reading the Ninja Books, but it was too boring, I tried rewriting the ninja notes, but that was also too boring.
In the end, I suggest you try the free trials that they all have and buy the one that you think fits your learning style the best.
