Is studying AUD and passing in busy season attainable?

Presuming my senior is okay with it (a big limiter – I wouldn’t be okay with it personally), is it possible to begin studying for AUD on 1/4/17 and take it late march and pass?

Average work week in between…maybe 65 hours?

Very attainable. Working 65 hours a week you should still be able to get 20-25 hours per week of studying, it won't be FUN but its entirely possible.

It is possible, though the latest you could take it is March 10th, as the rest of March is a blackout month. I believe this will change once the new exams roll out, and you will have the normal blackout month be the entire month, not just the last 2/3.

Do you have any experience with auditing? You should be able to study the material in a month. You might not get the highest score possible but you should be able to pass if that is all you are worried about. You won't know if it's possible until you do it. Every person is different.

Are you up against expiring credits? Is there something specific compelling you to sit during busy season?!

I'd avoid unless its absolutely necessary. If the advertised hours are 65/wk, who knows what the peaks may look like.

Well it's settled. I'll pass BEC on 1/1/17 crack the AUD book on 1/2/17 and take it in the first week of march.

I'm on a PCAOB as well as an AICPA client. Big four audit busy season…it'll be painful, but it's necessary. I got my reg score last night and that was done while working.
