Is congratulatory letter necessary?

I found out I passed the last section this morning. I live in Georgia (NASBA state) and am wondering if the congratulatory letter is necessary to move forward with the license application. Looking through the GA application, it doesn’t seem to be a necessary component to the process. Has anyone in a NASBA state been through the application process successfully before receiving their letter?

I’m impatient and don’t want to wait any longer than I already have!

“To expedite the licensing or certification process, simply go to your state board of accountancy website and download all of their forms for getting your certificate/license (if applicable). Fill them out, write a check, and mail it in. Donʼt wait for them to take their sweet time in sending some packet to you. They will probably receive your package in the mail before they can even slap the postage on your envelope.”

That is directly from Jeff's CPA Survival Guide. If you see the forms on GA's board website I'd fill them out and send them in. Congrats on passing!
