    First orig post:

I need advice on what to do next. I just took FAR on Friday and I do not feel like I passed. I have heard from others that I should wait to get my score before writing the exam off as a fail. I am wondering if it would be better for me to move on to another section in my review course and schedule for April, or if I should continue studying for FAR with the assumption that I have failed.Or study for both? If I decide to study for both side by side, which would be the easiest approach? Does anyone have experience with this? I used Roger review course plus NINJA MCQ for my first attempt at FAR.

Start on the next section and see what happens. I jumped right into AUD after my first FAR attempt, and after failing I jumped right back into it and passed the second time. A couple of weeks on a new topic isn't going to make you forget everything you learned the first time through, even if you don't pass you have a strong foundation of the material going into round 2. So I'd say keep moving ahead and see what happens.

    FAR - 80
    AUD - 82
    BEC - 80
    REG - 85

    ETHICS - 90

And don't be so sure you failed. I was CERTAIN I failed my re-take and came out with an 80. My experience so far is that the exams that I “didn't think were too tough” are the ones I fail. The only exam I've passed so far was the one I thought was brutal, so just gotta see what happens.

    BEC - 80

Last time, when I felt I failed the test, I postponed Reg and kept studying Far. I didn't study much and I was right. I just took it on 1/4. I mean it depends on different people. If you studied a lot and feel that you still have a chance, maybe you should move on. For me, I couldn't concentrate on other sections if I knew I failed and I am pretty accurate about my feeling.

    Far 10/26/2015, 64, 1/4/2016, 82
    Reg 7/10/2015, 60, 2/27/2016, 86
Aud, 5/9/2016, 74 (ouch), 7/26/2016, I cannot wait to take this test again
    Bec, 6/10/2016, 70,9/8 retake

Many (most?) people leave the exam thinking they've failed. The only section I was certain about was FAR – my last exam – and I only felt confident because I felt just as crappy about the process as I did with others, and it already worked out with the other three sections. So, jump on the next one, and don't panic prematurely.

    AUD - passed
    REG - passed
    BEC - passed
    FAR - passed

Are you opposed to taking a break until you learn your score on February 4th? It will be nice to relax and recharge yourself. If you pass, you'll have a boost of confidence (and that will cause you to start your next study regimen with a bang.) If you fail, it will be nice to not overwhelm yourself by cramming info for a different test (and the break/relaxation would be nice for your hurt feelings.)

That's what I did for my first test, and I would do it again if I had a chance. The way I saw it was “what's the point in rushing, if my 18 month clock might be ticking already?” And I wanted a break! This exam is a marathon. Don't fatigue yourself in the first quarter.

Motivated by JC. I do it to make God proud.

Start on the next section. The earliest you'll be able to take FAR if you failed will be April. I'd try to knock out another section by the beginning or mid February or even early April and then transition back to retaking FAR if you did fail by April or even May. If you didn't fail you could potentially be on to your 3rd!

Keep at it and realize the faster you pass this the faster you get your life back.

    Good luck!

Probably Audit or BEC as they have some overlap with FAR. They're also a lot shorter so you could probably get through it in 1 months time depending on your availability.

    AUD: 78
    BEC: 81
    FAR: 73, 85
    Reg: 84

@ tacctfin11: I would start preparing for AUD or BEC and schedule to take it as late as possible in February. No need wasting a chance to sit for another exam. When I had all 4 my plan was to take one at the start of a window and take the next at the end of the window, regardless of what my scores turned out to be.

    Good luck!

    2010:
    BEC: 74, 71, 74, 75
    AUD: 71, 74, 83
    REG: 71, 76
    FAR: (I quit) 34, 45

    2015:
    BEC: 79
    AUD: 78
    REG: 67, 76
    FAR: 56 (trial run), 74, 74, 74, 80!
Thank God. Your prayers are always answered! Do not give up. Thank you St. Joseph Cupertino.

Move on to audit! Take it at the end of Feb. and then if you need to restudy far, you'll have the entire month of march and however long of april you need. I was 100% sure I failed both far and bec when i walked out. I didnt finish either exam. Far was my first so i really had no idea, and tried to be hopeful. With bec, i knew i bombed since I didnt feel great about mcq and then only had 22 minutes for all memos. Well, I passed both. The wait sucks, but hang in there! i'm in the same boat as you now waiting for audit, but i'm still moving onto reg!

    AUD: 98
    REG: 91
    BEC: 86
    FAR: 83

DONE DONE DONE and DONE all on the first try! It IS possible, just keep on studying!
