I'm nervous!

    Hi everyone!

So I took AUD (for the second time, failed the first time with a 70) last Saturday the 16th. I honestly don’t know how I did. The first testlet was fairly straightforward, the second one was much harder, and the third one was about just as hard as the second one. The SIMS, in my opinion, were pretty brutal. Unfortunately, almost all of them (except 1) were FAR based. AND I GOT 2 RESEARCH QUESTIONS. I also got two research questions on the last AUD exam I took, so I am scared that this might mean I failed as well.

I don’t know what to do at this point because this is supposed to be my last exam, so I’m not too sure whether I should continue studying (just in case I didn’t pass) or take a break and wait until the scores come out.

    Thanks for the help!

How long do you have till scores start expiring? If you have some time, I'd probably take a break till scores release. You can't re-take till the start of July, so a break for a bit would probably be good for your mental-health and help you to come back at the exam with a fresh mentality, anyway. However, if your scores expire, like, July 10th, then you'd want to get every minute of study in between now and then, in case you need to re-take on July 9.

    Hi Lilla!

My first exam expires in February, so I have a good amount of time. So maybe you're right..I should take these three weeks to relax and if I do fail, re-study the material for the 3rd time (unfortunately).

    Thanks!

Mid-May results will still give you 3 1/2 months before the end of the next window, which is more time than needed for a re-study…and over 6 weeks till the start of the next window, which is probably about right for a re-study. So, I'd say definitely take these next 3 weeks off and hope for the best! 🙂

Don't worry, you will pass, you deserve a break. Even if you couldn't pass, take a few weeks break can improve your quality of study time.

@cpafour_ your experience sounds almost exactly like my AUD retake. Except I think you probably did even better than I did because after my 2nd difficult testlet, my 3rd one reverted back to easy. My SIMS were also insane, and I had 2 research questions as well. At the time, those were the only 2 SIMS I thought that I got right, turned out I scored “Stronger” under SIMS on the score report. The only logic I can reach behind this is that difficult SIMS are a good thing because everyone is bombing them so its easier to get points.

I bet you knocked it out of the park.

@Hello2016 @CPA2BEE Thank you very much for the responses! I hope/pray both of you are right, but if not, I think I should take these next few weeks to relax and if I find out I didn't pass, then I'll just restudy the material for the 3rd time (unfortunately). It just aggravates me that I passed the other three on the first try with scores in the mid-80s, but I cannot even get a 75 on AUD.

@cpafour_ My AUD experience in February was much like yours, first was moderate and 2nd and 3rd were difficult. My SIMS were difficult but manageable. There were two research questions, one which was a pretest. The end result was that I passed. So take a break enjoy a week or two off. Hope you have great news on score release day.

    FAR - 84 - 11/14/15
    AUD - 76 - 2/6/16
    BEC - 73 - 7/13/16
    REG - TBD
