If I fail to show for FAR in January, can I get a new NTS and take FAR in March?

I am scheduled to take FAR on January 20th which is the same day my NTS expires. Unfortunately, my AUD credit expires in March. I know I cannot pass FAR in January. I want to take it in March by applying for a new NTS. I believe I was told once that so long as you are a NO SHOW for your exam, then you can retake it in the same testing window. Can anyone tell me if that is correct? I test in Florida.

Don't no show — cancel your appointment. If you do it by tonight, there is no fee. Beginning tomorrow, you'll pay $35 (increasing to $80 within 5 days of the exam date). If you cancel, you still have the option of scheduling your exam, provided space is available, for no additional fee. Otherwise, let the NTS expire and then apply for a new one and you'll be able to test in March.

@Anahi , It is possible, See below email from Nasba , when I requested them to cancel my Reg exam

” We will not be able to “cancel” the Reg exam. In order to reregister for the REG section you would either need to wait for up to 5 business days from when the NTS expires OR you could schedule your REG section for an earlier date then don’t go to the exam. This would list you as a no-show and you can reregister within 5 business days of the no-show
