I wonder what my trending score would be if I just went with my gut.

I keep second guessing myself on a bunch of questions and my initial answers to the ones I get wrong end up being the right one. I’m currently trending 58% after attempting a little over 1500 questions and would probably be somewhere around 65% if I would just go with my gut. Maybe it’s my nerves since I’m taking my first exam on 2/29 and having a newborn in the house is just adding to it. Is my trending score too low to give me any hope of passing FAR? I’ve seen some people on here say they were trending in the low 60’s and passed so I’m hoping for a miracle next week.

Dude you have a week left. I'm trending 61% but I guarantee you by the time I sit on the 29th I'll be at 80. Just put in the time and GET OUT OF THE HOUSE! I have a toddler at home too and I can tell you this is key!

I think you can bring that up, I would focus on some of the really large areas and figure out what you need to improve with those and then keep tackling questions.

My exam is Wednesday, I checked into a hotel last night and will be here until my exam. Hubby is at home with 4 kids, 2 dogs and all the responsibility until after my exam. I am ordering room service, and hitting my trouble areas in more depth. Good luck to you!

You're fine as long as you keep working. I'm taking FAR 2/29 and my average practice tests are about 65%. I'm using Roger – my practice exam average scores have been 5-10 points below my actual exam score on the 3 other exams I have passed. I'm not happy with the 65 but I'm not letting it get to me either. As far as going with your gut, it depends on how much studying you've done. Speaking for myself, I cost myself several A's on exams due to second guessing myself out of right answers. I have a rule where if I can narrow it to 2 or 3, I pick the ‘best' answer and move on. One question is not going to make much of a difference and it starts messing with my head too much the more I over analyze myself.

jdn9201- I've studied roughly 170 hours using Roger and Ninja. I'm taking off from work Thursday and Friday and plan on putting at least another 25 hours in between then and my exam. I tend to overanalyze and psyche myself out of the right answer and hope I can avoid that on exam day. Good luck to you and 2ndgoround on hopefully your last exam! Smart move 2ndgoround, by staying at a hotel. I plan on staying at my mom's house for a couple days so I can catch up on some sleep lol.
