    I just completed the final part of the CPA exam… I am not sure what to do now lol..

    I am going to call CPA Central once the holidays are over. But as far as I know, Now that the exams are done, is the next step an ethics exam? I can’t find much about this on the NASBA website.

    I’m just relieved that I do not have to worry about exams expiring or any deadlines… or studying anymore. It’s going to be a few years till I get my licence, and I actually just took a job with the department of finance in the city I live in.. and there are no CPAs here. I plan on moving back to the state I was registered and took the exams after maybe 1+ years.. once I go back into public.

    Try going to your state board of accountancy website and see if you can find the licensing requirements. I’m in OH which requires ethics to be completed within one year of licensing. Congratulations on passing, it is a great feeling!!

    Yes, enjoy being able to not study. Now you can focus on other things to get you're life back in order! I'm in the same boat as you. From what I have gathered, the whole licensing process can take anywhere from 2-4 months. Just make sure you are constantly staying on top of things on your end. Your state board website should provide everything you need- along with the NASBA licensing section and your congratulatory letter instructions (once you receive it). If you have any questions give your state board a call. I know waiting is a pain but just be glad you don't have to study! Happy new year

    @Parthamis Congratulations! Well done!

    I believe that – unless you're in CA – there's no Ethics exam requirement for licensing. Don't quote me on that.

    I second the advice about contacting your state board to make sure what the next steps/requirements are. You can probably send them a copy of your college transcript(s) so they can verify you've met the education requirements (hours, specific coursework, etc.).

    Hopefully you're fulfilling the experience requirement of working under a CPA as well.

    Hope this helps!
