can someone tell me if 10 days for bec is enough to pass th exam? i dont live here in the US. i can stay here only until december. i need to write and pass all 4 sections in the 4th quarter. if not i will have to give this up forever. 🙁 i started with aud and i am giving this about 2 weeks. i decided to study reg for about 3 weeks and 4 weeks for far. i will have only 11 days left for bec. is this possible? i am a full time student.

I'm going to be blunt. I don't know if that will be possible. While I'm sure people have been able to do that in the past, it is extremely rare. Even with your other time tables for the other 3 exams seems way too tight. FAR is recommended minimum 6-7 weeks alone. However, you are the best judge of what you can do. If you believe that you could pass all 4 in one quarter and you put in the work/effort then maybe there is a chance that it could happen. I truly hope for the best, but I just wanted to make you aware that this exam is extremely difficult and it takes time. I passed all 4 first try and it still took me 7 months.

As I wish you best of luck what your trying to accomplish is next to impossible. Even if someone does not work at all and just studies 8 hours a day I do not see how one can pass all 4 in one window. Your basically trying to take 4 exams in 70 days which is like an exam every 17-18 days. That puts you at 150 hours per part of study assuming no days off which may be ok for BEC and AUD, but may not be enough for REG and FAR. Not to mention how burnt out you will feel by the time you get to the latter parts.

Let us know how this works out…

I am very curious how this works for you please let us know. The reason is I may just take 1 month off from work to finish up my 2 remaining parts (FAR and AUD retake). I am 10 years out of school so I will need to spend serious time on FAR. 250 hours would not surprise me.

I know people who took and passed all 4 in 1 quarter, with the schedule you described. HOWEVER, I must emphasize that

1). they were recent graduates, who had taken the classes covered in the CPA exam in school recently. Thus, they have a strong foundation on most of the topics already, and just need a refresher and to learn how the CPA words their questions.
2). they studied EVERY DAY (6-7 days a week, 8 hours day) during that time. No time off, no slacking.

Basically, yes, it's possible if you have a strong basis to build on and study like crazy. For most people (especially if you're working as well, or have been out of school for a while), it's not doable.

10 days – yikes. If you do, don't shower, don't brush your teeth, don't leave your room. Literally study, eat, sleep, sh*t and repeat for 10 miserable days. If you are a Business major at least a lot of it will be a Review.

    Goodluck my friend.

If you can get a good 8-10 hours in (and by good I mean actively engaging in studying and not just staring at a book or day dreaming during lectures) it can be done. Quality beats quantity all day. Further, you have to have a strong foundation over Cost Accounting, Finance, and Economics…IT can be memorized in a day. COSO can be memorized over a day or two. and Operations another day. Additionally, remember there is a writing section that tends test more on structure than content…with the new test changes I'm unsure of the impact to BEC..I've only taken REG under the new format. It's extremely aggressive. I did it in 10 days but I had experience with Cost Accounting/Operations so it made it so much easier. BEC is also the broadest of the four exams, you could get hit with a WACC question and then you have a question asking you about Monetary policy next. With all that said, it can be done..Good luck.

Blue collar is right. If this person studies 12 hours a day at 10 days they get 120 hours in …if it is quality study time it may be possible. That leaves you with 8 hours to sleep and 4 hours to eat and use the facilities, and maybe go for a walk so you don't go insane

If you don't already have it, I would recommend purchasing a Ninja program for each section and studying 12 hours a day for each test with no breaks in between exams.
