I have a rather tough dilemma that I need advice for regarding taking my FAR

I am using the Becker CPA self study review and it has expired on me as of today. I spoke with customer service and they said I can get a grace extension by sending in my prometric scheduled test and the software will then expire the day of the test. Currently, I am scheduled to take the test this Friday, the extension may not come for 24-48 hours after I provide documents of when I am going to take the test. Do I reschedule my FAR test to around april/may and send in that documentation to maximize the extension in the event I fail and need to use the product. Then after doing this do I reschedule it back to Friday so that I can take it and then again if I fail have the two month cool down period expire right before the software extension expires. By doing this, I realize I have to pay for reschedule fee which is concern one, would I also run the risk of not being able to reschedule for this upcoming week and be locked in another 45 days, would I also have to be concerned about Becker not honoring the extension if they found out I did a double reschedule and then have done all for nothing.

Sorry for the mess of a story, test date is approaching and I’m getting nervous and now this happens too. Any advice is welcome. Thanks

Here's what I'd do…dunno where you are in the entire testing process, but never schedule an exam for mid-month or testing window.

I schedule them strategically for the end/beginning of a testing window for manifold reasons:

    1) You get your score quickly – then you can quickly re-study for the re-take after the new window opens up
    2) If you fail you can re-take the exam as soon, or close to as soon as the next window opens and move on to your next exam
    3) You can take a much needed break if it's at the end of a window – even if the break is only for a few days it's nice to allow yourself a gift for your hard work so to speak

Since there's no additional cost to reschedule from now until say Thursday I'd just wait and see what happens. But don't waste your time and money taking it Friday if you don't feel good about your preparedness. But I'd try and reschedule it for the last possible day of February.

You've really gotta leave no stone un-turned when taking these exams. Every possible advantage you can give yourself will be a wise decision. EVERY single one.

    Good luck….you've got this!

Spend $47 to get Ninja MCQ for FAR and study like crazy until Friday. You're going to spend 4 times that rescheduling.

    Ninja MCQ for FAR

Definitely worth the money in my opinion — use that as a tool to learn, read up on anything in your FAR textbook that you may not understand.

If you're only trying to get access until this Friday, don't bother paying the money to reschedule. I don't have their policy memorized but it's very expensive the closer you get to the exam. I believe inside 24 or 48 hours, they don't even allow you to reschedule. Besides the money, I doubt that you would even be able to sign up for it again within the next week. I just signed up for FAR about a week ago for the last of February, and I had to stalk their website to wait for a cancellation because the pickings were very slim. Get another product to tide you over for 3 days and save the money.
