    Hello, I have 147 credits and need to take a three credit class online before I start my full time jobs in September.

    I’m starting to study for the CPA exam so I am trying to put as little time into this class as possible. My question: are redundant courses acceptable? If I take intro to accounting through a community college will the credits be accepted toward my 150?

    FYI I think I’m going to take the class through Northeast Community College in nebraska.
    Three credit classes are about $440 which is about as cheap as it gets from what I can tell

    You should do the intro to math, college CLEP. The test is about $100 (including admin)+ about $30 for prep materials. I just took said test.

    I would study for it, but you could probably pass without studying. Questions like, Johnny sells marbles at $4, which have a cost of $2 each. How much total profit will johnny make, if selling 10 marbles?

    You would need to check with your state board though.

    B=84 This exam was such a b**** that I thought I failed-don't know how these things work
    A=76 Slacker I am, I'll happily take it
    R=81 I LOVE taxes
    F=80 I don't wanna get banned for an expletive I'm thinking with "yea" proceeding it

    Thanks for the suggestion. I looked into CLEP. Unfortunately GA state board states clearly that no CLEP credits are counted toward 150. Would be great if they were allowed!

    @OP, have you already passed all CPA tests?

    Do you have an “Accounting Ethics” class? That would fill the void and will inevitably be useful in the future as more states adopt a requirement for it.
