Right now I’m practicing with Gleim, the SU 3 sucks. Entire chapter consists of error correction, DEPS, Revenue Recognition. 3 of the toughest materials in intermediate II accounting.

    I can’t even finish 22 questions in 27 minutes.

How do you guys speed up? I found out a lot of time is wasted on messing with the screen calculator. Just took out a lot of time out of the calculation.

do every other questions per section. Don't get too caught up on too many long detailed problems. The long ones are great but if takes more than 3-4 minutes to complete theres a 100% chance its too complex for the exam. Once you get past chapters 1-3 in FAR the process speeds up. Chapter 2 has the longest MCQ.

I didn't use Gleim, but I had a similar experience with Becker. You won't see many complex calculation based questions on the exam (excluding the SIMs which usually have a few). It was very difficult for me to stay focused on those really time consuming questions while doing practice multiple choice questions. What worked well for me was doing a few at a time, then taking a break by studying more conceptual stuff. Math problem after math problem is exhausting af.

At Prometric you can ask for a handheld calculator before you start your actual exam. It's sooooo much better than the one embedded in the exam. I use one when studying also, instead of the one on my phone, so I don't get distracted.
