How much do Senior Accountants make in Chicago?

    I’m interested in moving there this summer after I pass the final part of the CPA. I will have 5 years experience and a CPA.

    That's not enough information.

    What experience do you have? Public? Big 4 or small firm? What type of company are you looking for (size, industry, etc.).

    A “senior accountant” can be anywhere from 65k to 100k at very large companies and in specialized functions (ex. technical accounting, SEC reporting, and so on).

    My friends who are in the top 10ish firms (Big 4, RSM, BDO, Grant Thornton, etc) are making in the upper 70s and lower 80s.

    Yes I live in chicago.
