I am a “late bloomer” I guess you could say.

I went to college straight out of high school, had some life events happen, dropped out of college, went back to school at age 31, graduated with Associate’s degree at 32, graduated with Bachelor’s degree at age 34. Got a job at a CPA firm a few months before I graduated, moved to industry at age 36, moved back to CPA firm at age 43. Started sitting for my CPA at age 45.

anyone else in a similar situation?

Actually I wanted to reply to this thread earlier and some how missed it. I will be 45 pretty soon .I am done with the CPA exams by passing REG my last section yesterday. My son is in 9th grade and daughter in 3rd grade. I am happy to see people in 40's doing extra ordinarily great with the CPA exams and reinventing themselves in the process. This is really amazing.I am super proud of this group and happy to belong to this group. Kudos to you guys.You guys inspire and motivate me . Thank you 🙂

I am 37 and just found out that I passed the last section in this morning. I decided to commit this journey when my son was 2 and daughter was 7 months old. The whole journey was absolutely miserable but I am so glad that I achieved my goal. The hardest part of this exam for me was to find the time to study. If I can do it, and everybody can do it. P.S I am also an ESL candidate.

I am 36 with 2 young kids. Trying to balance time with them and study time has been the most difficult for me. This is a second career for me.
