How long do we have to pay for the NTS?

I’ve been studying the FAR material for about a month. I applied to take the exam (in Virginia) a little while ago and got the confirmation that I qualify. Long story short, I no longer have the money to actually pay for the exam due to a recent move. I know in Virginia we have 12 months to pass the exam, but after we have received the NTS to pay for the exam sections?

I believe every state says you have 1 year 6 months HENCE 18 months. You have to pay for your exam then you get an email with the NTS NOT the other way round.

So if you don't have the money then you don't get the NTS

I agree, you can't get the NTS unless you apply for a section (s). So as soon you as you have the money to apply, you will get your NTS and then schedule the test.

Thanks for the clarification! I've already applied for the exam and received an email from the Virginia board saying that I will receive another email from NASBA with a payment coupon. I just didn't know how long I could wait to pay for the coupon.
