How does the Ethics Exam work?

I am halfway done with the exams but I figured I would order the ethics portion and take it in the next couple of weeks and get it out of the way. I understand you have to score a 90 but how many attempts do you get? Does the ethics portion come with some sort of handbook/textbook? Also, how many questions are there? Thank you!

I actually just got my exam today (firm provides it). My state accepts the AICPA exam (make sure your state board doesn't require a different exam). From what I understand you can take the exam electronically up to 3 times and then you can also mail in the exam once if you fail the other 3 attempts. If you fail the 4th time you just need to pay the fee again. I guess there's a series of lectures and readings that you do before the exam itself but I'm not completely sure how many questions. My firm told me to set aside around 9 hours to complete it but that's all I know. I'm not too worried about it, I guess its not even close to comparable to FAR, REG, BEC, or AUD.

FAR: 80 (Gleim, Ninja Notes, Ninja MCQs)
REG: 87 (Gleim, Ninja Notes, Ninja MCQs)
BEC: 87 (Gleim, Ninja Notes, Ninja MCQs)
    AUD: 8/27/16
