Haven't Started Studying

I’m scheduled to take REG on June 10th. I haven’t been very motivated to study and right now I’ve only watched the videos and done some of the MC but I’m so far from being done. I’ve created a study schedule giving each exam 35 days and then an 18 day break/window for retest before I start FAR. Should I somehow motivate myself and continue on studying and take the exam June 10th and possibly have to retest during the 18 day window or should I reschedule for first week of July before my NTS expires on 7-14? If I reschedule I’ll need to use new numbers and test format since the exam changes July 1. But the same is true for a retake.

Don't walk into the test if you don't feel prepared. It's a waste of time, effort and money. Best postpone until you've adequately prepared.

    BEC - 90 PASSED
    FAR - 84 PASSED
    AUD - 93 PASSED
    REG - 84 PASSED

Do you think you can do anything in the next 3 1/2 weeks to actually make yourself study that you weren't able to do in the previous time that you wasted?

If the answer is “yes”, then still go for it. You've got lots of time. If I'm understanding correctly and you've already watched all the videos, then you're actually in great shape for doing your review and still passing this exam. You said you scheduled 35 days to study for each exam; you've still got 24 of those to go prior to June 10, so you've only wasted 31% so far, and if you've watched the videos already, then they're not even fully wasted.

If the answer is “no”, then don't even attempt it. If the next 24 days will be failing to study, like you say the prior days have been, then there's no reason to go take the exam and waste time waiting on the score that could be spent studying for an early July exam date.

Personally I'm in favor of still taking the exam June 10th, as there's lots of time between now and then, just shy of a month. However, it's only worth doing if you think you can get motivated and shake whatever's been holding you back. I know sometimes that's harder to do than others, which is why I encourage you to be honest with yourself and figure out whether you can motivate yourself to action or not. But if you can motivate yourself to study, I think there's plenty of time to study still.

I disagree, might as well get trigger time to see just what you are up against.

    AUD: 70, 80✔ (Expires 1/18/2017 - / Ninja MCQ / CPAExcel MCQ)
    REG: 61, 70, 75✔ (Expires 2017 - Ninja MCQ / CPAExcel MCQ)
    BEC: 78✔(Expires 5/17/2017 - Ninja MCQ / Becker Flashcards / NinjaNotes)

What do you have to lose besides $200 and 3 hours? If it were me, I'd study like hell from now until my test and see what happens, you never know. I was in a similar situation with BEC and passed, so it could work. But then again, REG is a whole different monster compared to BEC. Either way, I'd say give it your best shot and hit it again in July if it doesn't work out.

If you test on June 10 the very soonest you could retest is July 1 anyway. June 10 is possible but you're going to have to really buckle down and get 30 hours per week of studying in, minimum.

I guess it would depend on what your study plan is and how many hours a week you will be able to study.

I am taking REG on 6/10 as well

I took FAR for the first time going in everyone said that it mirrored the Becker MCQs. So I thought I'd go thru all of my MCQ and Sims being prepared. Not true. So what ever you do [do not memorise]. Knowing your core concepts is the key to passing. I took it a second time and felt more familiar with things. I'm using Becker and Ninja Notes.

I say if money not the issue take it! you will get a feel for the test.

If your not motivated, what motivated me was finding out that the test gets only harder starting 2017. Its hard enough already, I can only imagine what it would be like with the new changes coming.

I disagree with anyone who says to reschedule. Hold yourself accountable for testing June 10, buckle down, and study hard. Some may disagree with this but I'm a firm believer that if you push your test back once you're going to keep doing it and next thing your know you're starting to losing sections.

Seriously Andyred04 your right a person has no time to waste bc it's already a pain waiting for the payment coupon, then the nts, and then on top of that scores. It's just like watching paint dry if don't take time seriously.

I agree with Andyred04 because I am scheduled 6\10, I certainly don't feel ready, but who's going on feelings. I am hustling, I feel like I am all over the place but I am determined to be ready and pass….so go for it June testers.

    It begins with a 75
