Lots of people have reporting skipping two, sometimes three, sims and still passing (including once under the new testing format). Heck, many people claimed to have skipped BEC's WC and still passed. Just depends on how well you did on the rest of the material.

I certainly wouldn't recommend leaving ANY sim blank because (1) you have no idea which was the pretest — assumptions are just assumptions and (2) even if you don't know it, you might still pick up some grading points.

Don't skip anything, ever. You don't know what is pretest and what is not, no matter what you think. Not worth the risk.

I skipped one. It seemed obvious it was a pretest because it was from way out of left field.

There were a bunch of cells to fill in and the instructions said to leave blank if not needed. So instead of using the last 5-10 minutes to figure out “the impossible” and fill in what would probably be incorrect, I decided to leave it blank.

Guess we'll find out in December how it turns out.

@BrickellCPA – if it was FAR, I'm pretty sure I had the same simulation. It was odd indeed but I had another simulation that was even more wacky that I thought for certain was the pretest, simply because it was involved and I've never seen anything like it.

See why it's not a good idea to make assumptions? 🙂

If Brickell is talking about FAR I believe I had the same one as well. I hope that is pretest because that sim was a sh*t show

Yea it may or may not have been the pretest SIM, but I didn't leave it blank because I thought it was a pretest. It was the very last SIM and just didn't really have time to dive into it. Probably would have taken at least 10-15 minutes just to read the problem, review the tabs and documents, and to completely comprehend what it was asking for. I glanced over everything in the 5-10 minutes I had and thought I would at least be able to fill in a few of the cells, but in the end I didn't want to guess and end up losing points if I should have just left the cell blank.

The DRS, enhanced SIMs, and research question I felt okay with for the most part…but this last one was like WTF lol.

But I agree, give each one your full effort. You can allocate your time to SIMs you think you can get the most points on, but definitely not recommended to skip over one just because you assume it's a pretest.

No but I did get two wicked ones on FAR and I am sure one was pretested. I think if it had counted, my score would've been in the 50s and not the 60s.
When all else fails, enter zeros for all the blanks on the question. You will get some credit if the question says “For any cells that you don't enter numbers into, enter a zero”.
