What do people consider the hardest Reg chapter, if youre using Becker? I know everyone has different opinions, but just curious on people’s thoughts!!

I think R3 was the hardest. R3 covered the taxation of corporations. Second hardest was R4, because taxation for the passthroughs are similiar to corps, but also different. It's tricky memorizing the differences and when to apply them.

Also, R3 had taxation for g/l transactions. I needed to practice a lot to learn/memorize those rules.

I agree, R3 was pretty rough, worst % on mcq so far. The 140+ mcq in the c-corp section was intimidating starting it off. Only up to R4 now which went better just tons of mcq.

Definitely R3 by tackling the concepts and computation for basis/income under different entities such as partnership, LP, LLP, LLC, S Corp, and C Corp.

I cannot get them straight at all even after passing REG (by the skin of my teeth) on my 6th attempt.

@Amor D,

I saw one of your post that you had mentioned that you can do any IRC search for under some seconds. Can you advise that method? I have been doing a couple sims on Search, and I am getting only 2 correct out of 10, and it is taking me forever. Any advise is greatly appreciated to correct it in the shortest time possible.

I have access to Becker 2013 book, and I am on R3. So far I am only doing C Corp. It does seem crazy with what I have to remember and calculate.
