Half way through FAR and debating if I should switch to AUD or BEC - Page 2

I am finishing my last semester of college and preparing to take the CPA. Someone I spoke with mentioned I should take FAR as my first section due to the 18 month rule. I have gotten more than halfway through FAR and I find the material very difficult and I cannot seem to fully grasp the material. I was thinking about stopping studying for FAR and start studying for AUD or BEC just because this will be my first exam. I am regretting taking one of the harder sections as my first exam. Please give me some feedback or advice.

    FAR: April 2016
    AUD: May 2016
    BEC: TBD
    REG: TBD

Aside from what others have said, of the four parts, FAR has the most carryover to the other sections. AUD, especially, becomes easier after FAR and many people, myself included, get AUD sims that seem like they belong on FAR more than AUD. Reconciling book income to tax income on REG is easier if you know how to get book income in the first place, and partnership liquidations are almost identical on both. Stick with FAR, and I'd say attempt the test at least twice before moving onto another section.

    FAR (8/17/14) - 86
    AUD (8/22/14) - 90
    BEC (8/31/14) - 86
    REG (2/29/16) - 90

@Excel14 – I feel completely the same way! FAR is beyond overwhelming for me right now. I've been studying for two weeks, and just when I think the material can't possibly get any worse…it does!! Ugh!!
