    Hi guys,

Unfortunately, I found on yesterday morning that I got 71 on AUD. I feel like I have to retake it because I’m SO close to passing.

Study routine thus far: BECKER– Listened to all the lectures, repeatedly did MCQs, and went through SIMS once. I failed because of SIMS this time. There were a few about adjusting JEs and recognition of contingencies that threw me off. I feel like those are FAR topics thrown on to AUD.

Anyways, I would love to hear what worked for people in my situation. What will get me over the edge? Should I consider other studying programs? Flashcards?

Side note: Timing on taking AUD- Early APR 2016 and taking FAR (first attempt) on the last day in MAY. Any suggestions?

    AUD- Retake APRIL 2016
    FAR- 1st attempt MAY 2016

I ended up doing AUD last of the 4. I see people complain about FAR related SIMS on AUD. While there is FAR material, I feel it was only basic FAR stuff.

I used BECKER and NINJA MCQ. Back and forth back and forth.

    -----------------------------
    BEC - 77, 03/2015 (first try)
    FAR - 79, 05/2015 (second try)
    REG - 83, 12/2015 (first try)
    AUD - 84, 03/2015 (first try)

I got 99 problems but the CPA ain't one.

I failed with a 73. I bought Ninja MCQ to switch things up. Gonna try to get through the vast majority of the MCQ. I'm gonna try to hit my trouble areas with the lectures from Roger again.

    BEC - 78 (August 2015)
    FAR - 80 (November 2015)
AUD - 73, 67. (Ok I gotta confess I was even more lazy this time around)
    REG - August 27th, 2016

HSPA, I really found the Becker Final Review for AUD to be excellent. I did it 2 weeks before my exam and it took me about 5 days.

Tim Gearty is a decent REG and FAR instructor, but, I felt he just read off the pages and gave very few examples to concepts, so it made it difficult to remember things without a reference in AUD. The guy in the Final Review, Brown, was so concise and actually spoke eloquently about AUD concepts-he really tied it all together for me at the end.

My approach was to study the concepts heavily and only do 30-50 MCQ a night. I think people end up with a false sense of confidence when they do thousands of MCQ at the peril of missing the foundations of AUD.

    REG Aug 20/15: 88
    AUD: Feb 29/16: 80
    FAR: Jun 10/16: 80

I studied with NINJA MCQs for my Audit retake. Used Becker for the first try. It's also very important to be familiar with the AL.

    AUD: Pass (July 2015)
    BEC: Pass (Nov 2015)
    REG: Pass (Feb 2016)
    FAR: Pass (June 2016)

Just go through as many MCQs and SIMs as possible. If you miss a question take the time to understand why you missed it.

Bfulcher, i would like to ask about that approach. I did about 1000 in NINJA MCQ in my first week after watching the lectures. I'm averaging in the low 60s….should I slow down? Or should I just keep pounding them out until it starts to click?

    FAR - 75 (2/25/16)
    AUD - 80 (4/8/16)
    REG - 80 (6/10/16)
    BEC - 79 (7/19/16)

You only get one shot with the spirit bomb.

Theunexperienced, if you're scoring in the low 60s then I would slow down. The key is to really take the time to understand why you missed a question, even if that means you go through less questions in the long run. The reason I say this is because if you just keep hammering out questions essentially you're just going to be memorizing the answers, but you really won't understand the material as well.

EDIT: Also, if you are already done studying the material then you probably went through it too quickly!! I am using Becker, and I studied the material for 1.5 months, then used the last 2 weeks for final review where I answered as many MCQs and SIMs as possible.

Not AUD, but here is my REG story.

    Tested Nov 25, 2015
    Received Score Dec 10, 2015 (72)
Purchased Ninja MCQ Dec 11, 2015 (Crushed MCQs for 3 weeks straight
    Retested Jan 5,2016 (80)

I think if you are that close, with a 71, I would just crush MCQs for the next 3 weeks and sit at the beginning of April.

    BEC - 77 (5/16)
    AUD - TBD (8/16)
    REG - 80 (1/16)
    FAR - 76 (8/15)
