tncincy, i think Biff is traveling in a different time, right now. Maybe he will come back and tell you how it all turns out for you in the future. all i can tell you is what worked for me and audio does not work for me. for bec, aud and reg. i read the ninja books once. blitz was available for all three so i watched and took notes and wrote down everything jeff said was an exam tip. i scored points on every exam from blitz tips. i pounded mcq's. i started at the beginning of each mcq set and worked them by section with the new questions setting. then went back and did missed last time until they were all correct. then did a random session just for that section. continued until i had seen every question and gotten it correct. takes a few weeks for each exam. as i progressed i would select previously completed sections and do reviews so i wouldn't forget anything. all my notes (with the exception of the blitz notes) came from doing mcq's. i kept notes by section. i read eberything that came up in the responses. i manually worked all calculations everytime i saw a question – even the repeats. when i hit review i closely examined my detailed progress report amd started hitting everything with a low average and worked those (while still doing reviews to keep everything fresh) until all sections were at least 75%. at some point i did all trouble questions.
for all i watched free youtube videos, googled other websites, and found info for concepts i struggled with. for aud i read a lot of the standards. for reg my exception to the above was business law – i did those 750 questions as i progressed through the other materials. i did not do bus law separately. for bec i studied a very long time so the information would stick. far i just got lucky that school prepared me. i didn't really prep for far.
ninja book. ninja mcqs. a lot of time and effort. thousands of mcqs for each exam. avg 170 hours for the 3 i prepped for. and free supplements as needed. i am single and my daughter is grown. my job is low stress and never more than 40 hours. my friends were busy with their own lives so they just carried on and stayed in touch. i went back to school to meet the education requirement and that certainly helped.
i never studied to make just a 75 – i really did walk into AUD, REG and BEC fully prepared and you can see the results varied. i feel strongly that if i had only studied to pass i would have failed every one.
    that is all i did.

@Moniker, that's a pretty good idea for BLAW. Both attempts I saved it for the end and it showed in both score reports (Weaker). Did you try to work those questions daily?

    AUD - 1st - 60 (12/12), 61 (2/13), 61 (8/13), 78! (11/15)

bus law i did start working in after i did ethics. i was afraid if i did it on its own i would forget everything. it is a monster. it was also my lowest average section. i eventually got them all correct but i did not hammer those as hard as tax sections. i referred back to the book as needed. read them section by section and did questions and took notes from those. I will add that exam mcqs that seemed foreign on exam were minor details in the book or in answers to questions. So taking notes from book can't hurt it just adds time to the process. the only book that perfectly aligned to the mcqs was audit. The combination of book and mcqs for audit is fantastic.

Oh right. I did every sim in ninja at least once. For audit i used the standards a lot and they really helped. For reg i could not master the AL but i read a lot of the UCC and IRC that were referenced in mcq answers. If i had to do a retake i was planning on writing the IRC or UCC code reference provided with the mcq answers with each note or calculation i wrote down. Thankfully that won't happen but i think it would be helpful as a tool for knowing sections of those Codes. For reg i printed a lot of tax forms and referred to them for questions and sims, especially.
I took a lot of notes for AUD. Stacks for BEC. and very few for REG in comparison to others.

I ask these questions for a little reassurance, I am doing non-stop mcq's (not doing all that great in my opinion) I was at 70 to 75% then it began to slip after I started writing notes. I Have 22 days til testing. I rescheduled, and I still don't feel ready. My current plan is to eat and sleep mcq's and listen to the audio on dead time, including going to bed. I reset my questions after I rescheduled….and yes I am feeling really anxious right now. I am glad you guys passed (biff, ano, mia, lila, I've been here a while so there are many others ) but I am trying to find a rhythm. I guess I just have to keep working. I have the ninja book, audio, and notes. I have looked up several video's and they have been a great help in recalling information.

Thanks for the info, we'll get on a roll for sure.

You have to let the info in. Don't fight it. Learn rather than memorize.
