    Hello,

I am a foreigner looking foward to go for the CPA as soon as I graduate from my bachellor’s in acounting.

Ok, so after an endless research I think I have decided to go for the New Hampshire CPA. So, my 4-year bachellor degree is worth 120 hours. I still need 30. I heard I could go for an MBA for that but… it’s 2 more years of study. But more and more I hear stories of people who got those remaining 30 hours with things like cuisine courses or even golf. Is this true? After you get a bachellor degree you can use any general education to get the remaining 30 hours?. I have a 3-year degree in cuisine, and also did (but didn’t finish) a year and a half in graphic design. Can I use that, with my bachellor 4 year degree in accounting, to fullfill the 150 hours?.

As long as you have the appropriate number of accounting and business credits, and a total of 150 credits I think you will be okay.
Education specifics vary by state so I would encourage you to research the state board website for the particulars.
You can also use the NASBA education verification service, or find out when you apply and forward transcripts.

Here's the NASBA link for NH requirements.
    https://nasba.org/exams/cpaexam/newhampshire/

6 (2 classes) of those 30 credit hours need to be upper-division accounting classes
(Requirements are 30hrs accounting and 24 business–other than accounting)

Other than that, I'm fairly certain that as long as you have at least 30 accounting hours & 24 business hours (satisfied through undergrad i think) the rest of the 150 can be through any course.

For instance, in my circumstance I graduated undergrad with 160 hours and only needed the remaining credits in accounting. My extra hours came from a 2nd BS in Finance & 2 minors in Communications and Economics. So I would say get your transcripts and go ahead and apply as you should only need 120 to sit for the exam. I don't know much about culinary school, but if anything I feel like graphic design should definitely be fine. You can always double check with NASBA support/ the state board, though.

You shouldn't have to do a MBA or a masters to get those extra classes, my adviser told me that one option I could do after I graduated was simply take the extra accounting classes at my school since I already met the 150 as a non-degree-seeking student.

If they were courses from an accredited school/university, you can use them.
