My BEC exam is next week, now I’m beyond frustrated…..I’m nearing the Ninja MCQ adaptive phase and still in the 50% scoring range thru like 500 q’s or so….my options as I see are keep pressing on, score what I score on the exam? push my test to see if an additional week plus can get me over the hump OR just push this test to another time down the road and eat the all the fees?

I’m about 4 weeks in plus study time (did all Roger Vids and read book yada yada) and well over 100 hrs total study time and honestly I’m just not “getting it” if you understand.

I was hoping there would the that “ah ha, jesus came to me” moment but it ain’t happen’ folks!

In the last two weeks alone I have seen zero progress on my part. I would be a little more chipper if I saw a glimmer of hope but it seems like it is just not in the cards right now for whatever reason. I’m weak in basically ALL categories according the the Ninja breakdown so I will turn my decision over to this great board to see if they can offer me some hope!

    Thank you kindly.

    Just relax..

Take it one little piece at a time. The CPA exam is really not that difficult. Do the parts that you know, build some confidence and keep plowing through, one unit at a time.

I'm taking BEC next Friday and I just started studying today.

Don't eat the fees! At least sit for the exam. It gives you experience. Sometimes you get lucky!

Based on your post, I think you write very well, so you should do well on your SIMS. How are you doing if you skip the law MCQ's? Those are so random, either you know it or you don't. If you have strong SIMS and strong MCQ practice sores on the non-law sections, you should be good despite scoring in the 50s overall.

I just posted in an earlier thread today about this same thing. You may be way more prepared than you think. Some of those MCQs and SIMs in the review courses are harder than the ones on the exam. I was surprised, even the MCQ on FAR was less complex than I had feared. Not sure about BEC. But like I say, you may be underestimating yourself!

Thx for the feedback, I'm pressing on, no quit in me so all I can do is prepare the best I can and move forward!

This BEC is a monster, there are just so many small things that I'm over trying to take more notes as my fingers hurt and just trying to knock out MCQ like a mad person. I pray that 75% is achievable for me, nothing would give me more confidence than passing this one.

How are you studying? Tell me exactly what you do, and how long you do it.

What's your situation? Old married job and kids? Young single can study all day?

    Distractions in your life?

I'm super busy with work and REG but I'll try to remember to check back.

I want you to think REALLY hard about these last four weeks of study. Be HONEST with yourself.
