[CPA Exam Tip]:

Include your significant other in your studying. My husband, a professional photographer, may not understand the concepts I'm studying, but he understands major stress and I've found cluing him in to how I'm feeling and what I'm having problems with really helps me feel less alone.

CPA EXAM TIP: A great way to make study notes is to go through each subsection of your MCQ's, writing the main 2-3 points that are emphasized for each section. This way you'll have every thing you need to know to nail the MCQ's!!

[CPA Exam Tip]
If you get stuck on a problem and can't figure out why the answer is what it is, don't waste precious study time pondering it…move on. Post about it in the forum and come back to it in a day or two. There were some questions I felt I might never get and was just memorizing the problem and answer. Come test day it wasn't even asked, not even a variation of it…and to think I spent days trying to figure that stupid problem out. There may be some questions you just aren't going to get, so move on with the other MCQs. You're there to pass not score 99. At the end of the day, my 76 average vs your 98 will still result in the same certificate.

[Networking Tip]
1. Don't burn bridges!
2. It cannot be said enough how important networking is for finding a new job. Don't just rely on job boards and networking events, reach out to former classmates and previous employers via LinkedIn. It can start off with just a coffee chat about the area or their industry and next thing you know a couple of calls are made and your resume is being requested. Don't be shy!
