AnonymousInactivehow many weeks you got left and how you holding up…..I’ve got three weeks left and take FAR on April 18th….the closer I get it seems the less I’m motivated to study….you’d think it would be opposite, but I’m so burnt out…..

SkynetParticipantThe last section will always be the most Nerve Racking because you have to wait a few weeks before you find out whether you pass or not. You're not sure what to do during those weeks, because if you studied thinking you failed but instead passed you stressed out for nothing. However, if you didn't study and found out you failed, you'd be kicking yourselves for wasting those few weeks in which could've use the time to study.

StilgoinParticipantI know that dilemma well Skynet. I have decided to keep studying because I will hate myself if I fail and I lose everything, which could easily happen in two weeks. Lol I know that sounds like a lot of work, but I am still kicking myself for switching to AUD the last time.

monikerncParticipantREG is my next and hopefully last exam. I scheduled for 5/23 and was slow to start because life interfered a bit. I gained some momentum this weekend and now I am hoping to test well before end of May. Stay tuned!

Jdn9201ParticipantThat's interesting. I know people are different but when I found out I had passed AUD in January I wanted to start studying for FAR immediately. The only thing that stopped me was I was in year end close at work. I still wound up pushing FAR up sooner. Everytime I thought about slacking I'd make myself think how awesome I'd feel once I'm done. Everyone's entitled to a break but yall are so close!
BEC - 88 8/29/15
REG - 82 11/14/15
AUD - 83 1/8/16
FAR - 80 2/29/16March 29, 2016 at 12:15 am #770540
AnonymousInactiveREG was my last exam and I studied my ass off for it. When I found out I passed FAR (third exam), I had a second wind.
You are ONE TEST away from your goal. Time to start pounding the material and GET IT DONE! Make all the hours of practice exams, notetaking, lecture watching and missed Friday nights going out with friends worth it. Time to finish strong and get that CPA license!

AnonymousInactiveFive weeks left until I attempt FAR! I'm beyond overwhelmed with all the material, and I'm struggling to not only understand a lot of it, but also struggling to stay motivated. I don't really like my chances on my first attempt…and the idea of likely having to study all of this over again is enough to make me crazy! Hoping we all pass our last section and can put this behind us!

monikerncParticipantWe can and will do this crazy thing.

Jeff01234567ParticipantAbout a month and a half left for me.
I anticipated being burnt out by the time the 4th test came around. That's why I scheduled REG last.
Tax just happens to be my favorite accounting subject, doing a Master's in it, did a couple busy season internships, and will start working in Tax field later this year. I am enjoying studying at this point 🙂
Good luck to those taking FAR last. It really is like sprinting the last quarter of a marathon.

AnonymousInactiveOn my last exam too! I have FAR left and surprisingly I am pretty motivated to get this one done. I was stuck in a rut studying for REG before, lacking all kinds of motivation.
I've just started studying and still have 7 weeks to go.. so we'll see how long this motivation lasts. Good luck to everyone!

AnonymousInactiveI just watched F9 lecture last night which means I only have to watch one more lecture in my CPA experience. To be nostalgic, I can remember when I fired up that first lecture in REG last september and Gearty was carrying on about god only knows….I thought to myself “I cant believe I have to watch 29 more of these….” Gotta focus on the positives…that 29 is now 1 and I'm less than 3 weeks out now…”we are on our way to the CPA, let's bang it out” (OLINTO).

sva_123ParticipantI'm taking FAR at the end of May. It's my last section and I go back and forth with being motivated and being burned out. I can't wait til this is over. Good luck everyone!

How many letters do you needParticipantWell as somebody on the other side, I felt exactly the same way. I did AUD last, half-assed it and completely expected to fail. I was so burnt out, hadn't had a fail yet so I wasn't up against the clock too bad, and just had nothing left. Amazingly I got a 78 and had a great Thanksgiving. I honestly think that while we are more burnt out by the time we get to the last exam, we are also much more efficient at studying than our first, our brain is in good shape so to speak. Just give it all you got, worst comes to worst you fail, take a little time off and hit it hard next window. Good luck to all as you get over that last hill!

AnonymousInactiveI am with you guys! FAR is my last exam and I have alrady pushed it back from Feb to April 4th and I still don’t think I am ready. There is sooooo much material to learn and I keep trying to push myself staying up late and when I get ready to quit I tell myself†if you don’t push yourself you are going to be here again.â€
My reg credit expires 7/31/2016 so I am hoping I don’t have to study for FAR again. This will be my first time taking it but I think I finally “learned†how to study that I am hoping my previous fails will help here!
We only need a 75!! -
