AnonymousInactivehow many weeks you got left and how you holding up…..I’ve got three weeks left and take FAR on April 18th….the closer I get it seems the less I’m motivated to study….you’d think it would be opposite, but I’m so burnt out…..

jessica8926ParticipantI feel exactly the same way. I have BEC on the 12th for the second attempt. I am actually going to move it out a week just because I have been slacking and had no motivation. I started a new job which allows for a lot more flexibility and study time but when I get home at 5:30 I never want to study! I use to dream about having this kind of time before when I was in public and now I am not even taking advantage of it to study. It is so hard to stay motivated! I am hoping something will kick start me….
AUD - 69, 77

AnonymousInactiveME! I have REG scheduled on April 18th. I've debated pushing it back. I was taking in depth notes but now I started to just watch the lectures and complete the multiple choice for each section after the videos to see if I grasp the material.
Using CPAexcel….it says I've completed 74% of the lectures….It just seems to go on forever.

AnonymousInactiveWell….I will say I'm jealous of you both not having to finish with FAR….It's is such an animal….10 chapters is insane for one section.

jessica8926ParticipantExactly why i tried getting it done sooner rather than later, also knew it was the hardest topic for me personally. Just remember you only need to study enough to get a 75! That was my plan haha
AUD - 69, 77
REG - 74, 81
FAR - 75!
BEC - 71, 82IL candidate!

AnonymousInactiveThe last section is such a b*tch. Your so close but you like lose your drive. On my last part my NTS was running out and I half ass studied, got a really easy exam and still failed. Its hard to motivate your self … but once its over you never have to do it again, that thought process is what I keep on telling myself … and then I moved my exam from 1/4/16 to 2/1/16 to 2/22/16 to 2/28/16 to done!!! $80 each move and worth every penny lol BTW I never finished studying lol

jlee1086ParticipantHaving just come off of REG, I significantly slowed down because there's so much less questions for BEC. It doesn't help that I'm getting bad scores in Ninja MCQ's. I thought Ninja REG had the most random topics not in Becker/Wiley but I might be wrong.
It's weird how I'm just as nervous about my last part as I was for FAR. So much that it's messing with my sleep, which makes me less motivated to study. People always tell me that I got this and a Becker teacher said that BEC is the most predictable part. But when I read about other people's test experience, it seems to contradict that.
Jessica, it's interesting that you only passed FAR the first time. Was this your easiest part?
FAR 57 (11/2014), 64 (1/2015), 79 (7/2015)
AUD 68 (2/2015), 79 (11/2015)
REG 79 (1/2016)
BEC 81 (4/2016)March 28, 2016 at 7:42 pm #770527
jessica8926ParticipantPeople totally lied and said BEC was the easiest or most predictable. Ok, maybe they did not lie but I found that people try to say oh its easy because it was easy for me. BEC is one of the hardest ones for me behind FAR. I am a little upset I saved it for my last one.
jlee, actually FAR was the hardest test for me. I chock it up to the fact that I think I got lucky with an “easy” test and the CPA gods were smiling down on me that day. I kept telling my family and myself that there was no way I would pass on the first try and I also had a few breakdowns during my studies. I also changed the exam date 3 times I think because I was working 60-70 hours a week with a team that did not support me studying at all. I do not know how it happened nor can I give any advice on how I passed FAR. I worked as an auditor for 2 years yet I failed once and barely passed the second time. I hate taxes and yet did really well on REG….there is no method to this mad test I am telling you!
AUD - 69, 77
REG - 74, 81
FAR - 75!
BEC - 71, 82IL candidate!

jlee1086ParticipantDespite my score history, AUD was actually my easiest. I have no clue how I got 3 straight 79's but I can tell you I spent less time in AUD than either REG or FAR. I blame the first time on not knowing how to study (writing flashcards and notes). No, I'm not an auditor but I worked at places where the tone at the top encouraged shenanigans.
There was actually someone in my Becker class who said FAR was her easiest and BEC was her hardest. It took her 3 tries for BEC (she didn't say much else about FAR except it was a piece of cake). People like you and this girl may be a minority but they're not as rare as you might think.
FAR 57 (11/2014), 64 (1/2015), 79 (7/2015)
AUD 68 (2/2015), 79 (11/2015)
REG 79 (1/2016)
BEC 81 (4/2016)March 28, 2016 at 8:13 pm #770529
StilgoinParticipantMe…..and I have already folded a little. 🙁 I pushed FAR from Apr 20 to May 13. I am so sick of this crap! I have beeen trying to take more time off to exercise, but still can’t find motivation to study the way I need to. Just knowing this one has the most information makes me lose sleep.

spikesrdParticipantI'm on-board with everything you guys have said so far. I just moved REG back a few days to April 18th because of a horrible study weekend. This last exam is easily the hardest for me to get motivated for. Glad to know that I'm not alone in feeling this way because I'm beating myself up pretty badly about it.

jessica8926ParticipantIsn't it amazing that we are all so close yet lost all motivation? I always thought I would be super motivated once I had one left. I should have known this test would not do that for me seeing as I have never been motivated to study for any of these!
I am with you spike, beating myself up a lot especially because my family is starting to get irritated and critical of my studying….grrr.

AnonymousInactiveI think it has partly been the change in seasons for me….I've found my study habits are much better during the week when I study from 8 to 11PM vs. Saturday and Sunday monring/afternoon. Seeing a nice day when I have to be inside studying is perhaps the closest thing to being in a maximum security prison with a 6 by 6 inch window…..
All I can do to keep moving forward is to envision buying a $5.99 bottle of andre champagne on the way home from work on score release day after finding out I passed this god forsaken exam….shaking it up and spraying it all over the place like I just won the world series.
Maybe we should change the feel of this thread and start talking about how we are going to celebrate…..positive thinking!!!

CPA2BEEParticipantI have REG to go scheduled for May 29. Unfortunately I'm moving at a snails pace on it right now because of tax season and will continue that until April 18 probably. Just doing what I can until then and will have to go nuts on it from April 18 – May 29. I'm definitely feeling energized and motivated to get this one done, my problem is I have no time! Really hoping I can knock it out on the first try, that was a good feeling with BEC and would like to repeat.
