In Florida, what is the time frame from first time application with the Florida board (sending in transcripts) to receiving my NTS.

Based on this question and the other question, I think you might be doing things slightly out of order.
Usually you want to apply, get approved, then get your NTS, schedule your exam, and THEN start studying.

It depends. When I first applied to sit for the exam, it took a week but that was because I was already in the state of Florida system as a real estate licensee. Normally though, I think it takes 4-6 weeks.

    AUD - 10/21/16 (75----07/2010 expired)
    FAR - 10/28/16
    BEC - 11/2016
    REG - 01/2017

    Recked,

I have just applied with the state of Florida and have not received my NTS yet (the other post about NTS was a hypothetical). I’m trying to establish a timeline from the date I applied with the state board to when I can actually physically take the test. I would like to take the first test in 2 months, but do not want to end up in a situation where I feel I have prepared well enough and have to wait around and keep reviewing to keep the material fresh longer than necessary.

Very good Timmy, sounds like a solid plan. I can't provide any information for FL specifically, but NASBA says app's are running about 6 weeks out.
    Good luck on your studies!

ProTip – you can use the prometric seat availability tool to view seats available in your area, or more specifically to see seats that are not available.
The tool is handy to see how far in advance you should be looking to book. At one point in time the tool did not play nicely with Firefox, but did work with IE.
Remember people will always cancel and reschedule as time moves on, and also some days at your local center might be reserved, and then released as the dates get closer.
Keep watching that seat availability tool and you will eventually see the patterns. You do not need an NTS code to use it, but you will need one to schedule.

Thanks for the tip Recked. Isn’t the 6 week timeline once I get approved by the state? I just finished the application and submitted digital transcripts (not sure if those will be accepted not). Doesn’t it take a few weeks for state board to approve and send jurisdiction #, which then I apply through NASBA who’s timeline is 6 weeks?
